I loved this video Katy!! I feel like no one is ever prepared to visit Asian countries for the first time and it's a bit of a struggle. But what I've noticed is that, almost every single time, when the person visiting goes back to wherever they're originally from... pretty soon that "I NEED TO GO BACK" feeling creeps up 😂❤️ It's an adventure, there's always gonna be some culture shock! But with how some other youtubers make a spectacle of Asian culture, I think you did an amazing job showcasing its unique beauty

Vietnam is a beautiful country. I did a week-long tour starting in Hanoi, making our way down to Ho Chi Minh (aka Saigon). It was outstanding, and I do want to return. Would recommend. You definitely have to see Halong Bay (beautiful lime islands in a green sea) and the Mekong River Delta (one of the important rivers of the world). So much history, and fantastic food, and kind people.
Jon had me rolling when he said "I'm just like a fat fuck" I literally spit out my strawberry lemonade 😂😂 he fucking caught me off guard lol But same Jon sameee...

Wow backpacked Southeast Asia twice and both times spent a month in Vietnam.. the editing and footage captured the experience so well and took me right back ❤️❤️
yes viet coffee is the best!! you really have to pour the whole condensed milk in it if you want to fully taste the flavor of it as well see the color changing to a lighter shade. it’s also very cool to watch how it’s made!!! this is so exciting to see how much you both enjoyed it, i’m not viet but my boyfriend is half and so our daughter is mixed viet/cambodian and we love viet food!!

Pho is the best! When my bestie and I were in college, we worked in a volunteer program for underprivileged children. The program was in Chicago, and we explored a lot. Pho is our greatest discovery to date, lol.

Condensed milk is milk with the water removed. Most times in cafe sua da (literally iced coffee with milk) they use the sweetened kind because the coffee is bitter and strong. Cows are not abundant in Vietnam so condensed milk is used because it’s shelf stable and lasts a lot longer. Plus it tastes great, which is why that tradition moved to the United States. You can make your own at home by using the phin, or Vietnamese coffee strainer, and the chicory coffee CDM produced by Reily Company. It’s made in New Orleans and by the hands of a lot of Vietnamese workers. I would imagine that Cafe Du Monde coffee would be on the shelves out in California in the Asian stores though. This video fills me with nostalgia, and thank you for being respectful of my family’s homeland.
