I like hearing the excitement in your voice. The place looks great!
Well done and planned out. 👍
Shop looks great. Looking forward to the upcoming content
Wow new shop looks amazing great job.can’t wait to see it all setup. Congrats
Hooo--ahhhh !!! Beautiful shop ;)
I haven't finished watching the whole video yet, but will in a minute. When did you shoot this video? (as in what year)
A few questions to start with, maybe additional Q's later;
1) How do you plan to power your table saw? Drop down power from the ceiling, or do you have a flushmount outlet in the floor?
2) Do you have plans to seal the bottom of the wainscoting at the concrete floor?
3) What style/type of building do you call that ? (I'm in the Pacific Northwest...Washington). We have "pole buildings", post-frame buildings", "conventional stick buildings".
4) Is the outside of your new shop metal-roofed & metal sided, or is it a composition shingle roof & wood sided?
5) I'm curious what you're coming up with for a multi-station dust collection system.
6) Got any plans to control humidity ?
7) LOOKIN' FORWARD TO YER ANSWERS TO THE ABOVE Q'S.........AS WELL AS AN UPDATE WITH YER MOVIN' IN AND SETTING UP STATIONS, ETC !
My man! Thanks for the shout out! The shop truly is amazing. You have been super busy, my friend! Again, thanks and I can't wait to see the shop filled with cool stuff!
Shop looks great. Certainly looks like you have put a lot of time and effort it. The metal on the lower sections of the walls looks good also the T&G. Keep Pounding and I look forward to seeing your next project.
Nicely done. Life goals. I can only imagine how much effort went in to it to get it done all on your own. Looking forward the seeing your tool setup afterwards.
Do what Jason did on Shop Nation, 3D print all your tools and tables to 1/12 size along with your shop floor.
Been waiting on this! Keep ‘‘em coming.
Incredible transformation! I can't wait to see what you create in your new space.
looks Awesome! thanks for the thought process on your layout. I'm currently working on figuring that all out for my new shop too! It will be just half of my new 30x64 post-frame building. keep it up!
Looks great, I'm looking at building one this same size
Are you going to address dust evacuation. My brother did a side drop in his pole barn out to the center for his table saw. He ran it up the side wall using 8" round furnace ducting. It seems to do the job. Waste gate 'Y''s for the planer and jointer and band saw. Still the cords to run these tools could be a problem underfoot. Mostly 240 or three phase stuff. Just some thoughts... Glad you're making progress. Keep up the great videos! P.S, He's in northern Wisconsin and he opted for heated floors. They stay at 60 degrees all winter. Pretty nice on those sub zero days!
Exceptionally well done - thank you for sharing. I have a similar shop - size wise - that is still a shell. I really like your metal wainscoting and the horizontal T/G pine siding. Can you share the price point of the materials for the wainscoting and T/G - trying to budget my build out. FYI - my shop is in AZ - it will be a journey. Again - thanks for sharing and well done. Mike A.
12 x 10 area for a CNC. My entire work area is 12 x12 in the basement. Nice shop.
What dust control system will you install & when? I'm planning a trip to Fayetteville in a few months would it be possible to stop in and meet ya?
Really nice looking shop! who did you buy the building from? They should be giving you some promotional consideration for sure.
I love your content! Where is your shop working from? I have a small project I’d be interested in having you do
Thank you! I’m located in Greenville, NC 👍🏻
i am in garner nc just south of raleigh i have a full size 4x8 shop sabre cnc, been into cnc work for years , love to colab, or mabey join forces> enjoy the channel, keep up the good work. I will have a full shop reveal coming feb 1 of my small shop.
I have a question not related to this video, but you were so kind and quick to respond to a comment on another video, I thought I would see if you have advice on this. I am reorganizing my shop and will build a miter saw station for the first time (I have previously kept it mounted on a mobile stand). I have a 24 foot wall on which I will first position my miter saw, then utilize space on each side for other purposes. I am paralyzed trying to decide the right spacing. Any thoughts?
I think it all depends on your space. I would make a miter station big enough to accommodate the size material you break down. Also try to incorporate tools in the miter station that way you maximize space 🤙🏼
How did you attach the tongue and groove? It looks good!
It wasn’t fun but had to screw nailing strips to ever single face of the metal framing. That way I could nail the tongue and groove. I wanted to quit multiple times but I’m happy I kept going because it looks awesome 🤙🏼
Thanks for the content. As an up and coming cabinet maker I have a few questions. Do you always finish your cabinets? If so what would you suggest to speed up the painting/staining process? The finishing process always takes me forever to complete.
What is the brand of the warehouse. Where did you purchase it?
You will probably move your tools and set up a 100 plus times as tools change, space changes , jobs change and when you constantly want to improve things things never stay the same. I spent a year building a work shop to take it apart and change everything in a weekend lol. We make space to fill it then make more space.
Great looking shop, I'm looking at a metal shop and wondered what your ceiling R value is and why didn't you go with foam spray in the ceiling?
The ceiling is just the insulation wrap and I think it might be R7. The shop came with it and I didn’t want to have to tear it out to do the ceiling. Plus it was another $12k 😳
thanks
We just put up a 30x50. As a fellow Carolinian, we got hit with tons of rain last week and I was sooo sad to go into our shop and see all the condensation. We have the vapor barrier on the ceiling. Did you put the insulation on your roll-ups and did the foam help prevent moisture? I don't want my building equipment to rust 😢
I purchased insulated doors when I purchased the shop so they came that way! And yes the foam insulation helps with moisture as well as having it climate controlled 👍🏻 hope this helps!
@eastcarolinawoodworks thank you and I love your work and humor, keep it up!
Okay Inquiring fellow NC man is asking?? Its been 7 months since this video was posted. NO New Videos? Whats up. Waiting and waiting... 😀 Billy n NC aka Triad
What the size of the total space?
30x50 with 12ft walls 🤙🏼
@@eastcarolinawoodworks Very nice. It looks bigger than that.
@@NelsonJ1 thanks! I think the 12ft walls make it look bigger 🤔
Beautiful shop. I wouldn't take anybody's suggestions on how to set it up. You need to review your workflow for the various projects you do and customize the organization to minimize the travel between stations. Ideally, inbound shop door -> wood storage -> saw workbenches -> ??? -> sanding station -> finishing station -> outbound shop door. Minimize the number of times you have to travel backward.
As you leave a suggestion to set up his shop. Fuckin hypocrite
Wait ... a shop tour of an empty space?
