100% agree. When you look closely, it's amazing how much thought went into the drum parts for every song. The most creative and impactful rock drummer ever.
Signals was Neil’s response to The Police. Copeland’s hi-hat influence is all over this album. Love it. Plus it was the current album when I got into Rush.
What is so great about these perfect drum covers is they graphically show the creative genius that was the " Professor", the brilliant , incomparable ..Neil Peart! Great cover!👏👏👏👏👏👏
This is ridiculous. I've played Rush songs all my life and if I pulled Digital Man as you did I'd be over the moon. This is absolutely perfect. Amazing.
Been a fan since the early 80's, seen them 8-9 times throughout the years, this guy is sick!! Had a kit but yeah, that's why he was " THE PROFESSOR "!! Cried when I heard the news😢
That red Tama kit sounded great! Notice in the bootleg vids here on YT from the Signals tour, that Tama kit just rips through, despite the lack of quality recording.
Wow! So great! Really enjoy watching this. The first two seconds of this song are like "game over," and it just gets better from there. What a fierce drummer Neil was!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Great ear and done with precision. Impressive. I always envisioned the intro to Digital Man in the high level action part of a movie scene where a speed boat lifts up on the surface of the water and zooms off. Clad dit dat dat dat dat dat did dat doom dah dah doom dah dah doom did dat doom da da da dah dahhh! We all studied at Neil Peart University. Neil Peart University Alumni ( TM)
Spot on performance. Probably some of my favorite drumming by Peart on this track. He made the drums both a lead and rhythm instrument here. Great stuff!!
Just like Neil Peart he idolized as I did too, Tama drums and Avendis Zildjian even buffed off the Zildjian logo on each cymbal. Early 80's...Grace Under Pressure, Signals, Moving Pictures and so on. Man I wish I was that good, great job Sterling !!!
Bravo as usual. Flawless. This song and the album Signals is part of the tapestry of my college days. Remembering the road trip to see Rush with my buddies during this tour. Amazing time of life - no money, no worries, all positive vibes. THANKS!
Nice feel bruddha, I've seen a lot of your stuff, very nice. I had seen their third to the last show in Vegas and for Neil to play and write so awesomely through 40 odd yrs, he and Rush captured me back in 1975, it's nice to see younger peeps such as yourself noticing good instruction to a great craft such as drums..... The band was awesome and your musicianship signifies the same. Drummer to drummer, nice touch.....
Amazing! well done! Great also to see the drumming thorough this angle showing how neil was, above all, an amazing composer as well!!! So many elements but everything seems to glue somehow...
Really forces you to appreciate just HOW impressive Neil was to come up with this performance.

And he had to remember how to play them!
@@gocars3210would love it if Geddy and Alex got with Copeland and made another album like Signals!
@@bweeks8869 oh damn that would be epic!!
Awesome cover! I love this era of Neil's work. The crispness and precision and hi hat work that is reminiscent of Stewart Copeland.
That opening drum solo is one of the best song intros in rock music.

Dude! How perfect. A total understanding and perfect attention to every detail. More more more
With Peart's stuff...EVERY NUANCE is ESSENTIAL. LOL XD
he nailed it %99 of the tune, not being an ass, this guy kills it but not as it should be.
I swear you are Neil Peart reborn ... simply amazing !
4:08 - 4:40 god damned perfected, Sterling you kill it every time
Technique on point as always. Neil would be proud 🔥

Bravo! One of my favorites for the amazing drum composition by Peart.
Fantastic! I love all Neil's drumming on the Signals album. His red Tama kit was my favourite out of all the kits he used. Great work!
That red Tama kit sounded great! Notice in the bootleg vids here on YT from the Signals tour, that Tama kit just rips through, despite the lack of quality recording.
Very very good 👍

Great job bro!! Thoroughly enjoyed watching you play it. Gonna go check out some of your others.
Spot on performance. Probably some of my favorite drumming by Peart on this track. He made the drums both a lead and rhythm instrument here. Great stuff!!
Thank you for sharing this! Signals is the album that got me into drumming over 30 years ago. Perfect cover! R.I.P. Neil
What a spectacular cover, I could swear it is completely identical to how Neil conceived it when recording it on the album. Simply brilliant

Just found this.....incredible. Subbed.
Fkn well done Sir.

Excellent buddy
Watched this a few times....love it !
That's the tightest snare skin marks of hits I've ever seen !
Wow WoW WoW WoW WoW !!!!!!!!!!!
congratulations, you sound exactly like Neil, behind every song there is a lot of study, Neil was our teacher
max perse and that’s not a small feat either, it’s very to replicate what Neil does on the kit.
Super
Dude nice. Just started getting into this song.
You need to HIT the Cowbells, You are too tentative, so far, so Good.
you did it thank you, brilliant as always , nice job. I asked and you delivered! thank you again!
The work on the cowbell Peter Chris and Tommy Lee would be proud.😉
COOL
Rush's Signals definitely sounds the most like the Police
Their New Wave era
Mr. Peart would be proud
This is the only song i've been able to get right. Ones better than none.
Fucking fantastic dude!
One of my favorites and you do it with honor! Is this a new recording of it? I have watched many of your other videos, you do an excellent job.
I hope you got to meet Neil.
awesome job as usual. how many attempts did it take you before you got it perfect
You are a Rush Jedi Master! Level: Drumfinity
Drumfinity! Lol... I like that!
no plans on releasing/posting isolated audio?
Are you Niel Peart?😮
single bass drum pedal?
You can see double pedal in use during the fill around 6:00. Just have to watch til the end😂
may i ask, why are u hitting the snare with your left, quick question
Watch the Snake and Arrows live version of this song. That's the reason.
There is that skinny drummer again playing rush with his imitation Neil drumset.
