@@jabwel yes very bright . What is the type , led , metal halide or florescent? I'm trying to draw them in but my lights only bring moths and beetles no grasshopper even though this season the there are abundance in the fields .

I couldn’t quite understand what it was made of and how they don’t crawl out. we are having a terrible problem with grasshoppers in my area. They are eating all of the crops and if I could catch them, I could turn them into food for my chickens
Black thick polythene bag is spread and smeared with casava flour to make the surface smooth and slippery where by preventing grasshoppers from escaping
Very bright light is used facing tilted shining new iron sheets ( tilted towards the polythene bag smeared with casava flour to prevent it from escaping.
Nice idea for fish tanks and pig farms.
