- In today's video we are thrifting in both the regular Goodwill and "the Goodwill Bins" for an amazing high profit shopping day! Grab yourself something to drink, Let's get started!
The hunt is real! I spend hours and hours each week, combing through thrift stores, estate sales, auctions & flea markets ... to bring home the goods and prepare them for selling in my Ebay store, which fully supports me!

The wooden shoes are worn when you work in the garden. And farmers wear them. You wear thick socks so your feet don’t hurt. And glock dancing is really a thing. They are called: Klompen. Greetings from the Netherlands.
As a retired law enforcement person, I have to nag you about your purse lol I'm so afraid someone is going to snatch it up. It only takes seconds or professional pick pockets can unzip and lift out a wallet in a heartbeat. There is nothing worse than identify theft and it can happen so quickly. There are tons of attractive cross body bags that you could get just for thrifting days. I hope you will consider a change of bags. I admire you so much as a fellow reseller and would hate to see that happen to you.

Many years ago, I started just carrying just a wallet in my jeans instead of a purse. I feel much safer. Time to bring back fanny packs!

Karen, the colorful containers with wires are from India. We light them during Diwali and please do not leave your pocket book.
My grandparents are from Sweden, and always wore wood shoes outside. They kept them right by the door.
When you leave your purse in your cart (especially at the bins) it gives me palpitations 🤪

Someone says this in almost every one of Karen's videos! Theft is not as much of a concern where she lives. It's the same where my sister lives (near a national park). I am in Palm Beach County Florida where if your purse is open in your cart, someone will take your wallet the second you look away. My purse never leaves my shoulder. In another video, a commenter said she was cornered in a store by 2 women who snatched her wallet when they "bumped" into her. Yikes!!

Hello, I know this is episode is older, I just wanted to let you know that people who have a farmhouse decor or cottage core would buy the shutters and make them over. And they can be used at weddings for decor.
I would have to wear a hazmat suit to go into those bins😳
I believe the glass is heated then placed in the wire form and then it cools in place looking like on piece

I lived in the Netherlands for the first 11 years of my life. Al the farmers wear klompen, the wooden shoes. We also wore them in the snow with thick socks and straw to keep our feet very warm and dry on the way to school! The kids that wore rubber galoshes/boots to school always had very cold and wet feet (condensation).
yes we clog dance here in NC and Mountains and Foothills....but we dont use wooden shoes to do it in.
I have gone back and started watching your older videos and I have never shopped at the bins and this was just crazy. Our outlet is in the next city over. I guess this is why I haven’t been. I used to find vintage fabrics in the bins along with clothes from Talbots that still had the tags and many more things. It does take patience for sure.
I have the plastic lucite cat dish. I use it in the bathroom when I take off my jewelry such as watch, rings (hang on its ears), earrings. I use it every day! I got it as a gift probably 20 years ago so I can’t say where it was sold.

When I was doing craft shows, I used wooden shutters to hang my handmade baskets from.
The wooden shoes are used over your regular shoes. Used for working in gardens farms, ect.

No sitting or sorting on the furniture,I have never been in a store that didn't allow that,such fun that bin store is,easy to spend a lot of time in there.
There were alot of toys left in the bins that surprisingly do sell pretty well. I applaud you for standing your ground. I love the lamps and the mirror mosaic!

Those blue dishes are beautiful! Those bins are like the bins here not much there. A lot of that is just paper and trash which they should have trashed.

When you opened the door of that desk it transported me back to my grandmothers house and the desk she had just like that one. She kept decks of cards in one of the drawers and it sounded just like that when we got the cards out!
I'm very limited on space, so I only really recycle my own closet. However, I do have my own business helping people lose weight and gaining their self esteem back from rocky situations, so I've found your videos to be motivational.....even for what I do. :) Your videos are fun at the same time! I used shutters similar to those to display earrings at an art show.
I love going to the Bins. However, it can get crazy! I've been run over with a cart, had my elbow almost knocked off, had broken glass slung on top of my hand/arm, reached in and had pointy broken glass poke through my glove, had someone take something right out of my cart, etc. Now, I always use thicker gloves to dig in the Bins. Also, people can be downright rude there. It helps to not be a sensitive soul while there. Like you said, it's the culture of the Bins.

My father used to do those wooden spirals. You hang them outside and wind makes them turn/spin.

I was actually visiting our family in Shippensburg Pennsylvania this past weekend and had a chance to go thrifting at the Chambersburg goodwill. I scored the prettiest Vera Bradley poppy field Purse that looks brand new for 699
I equate wooden shoes with barn shoes. My father grew up on a farm near New Holstein WI in the 1920's. I have a photograph of him playing in the barnyard. His oldest brother (around 20 years older) is standing behind him wearing coveralls and wooden shoes (i.e barn shoes). Makes sense in that environment - practicality over comfort. Finally found an old pair in an antique shop located quite near where their farm was located. My story is they are the same ones as in the photograph. Love your channel!

I had my bag (filled with valuables, money and irreplaceable items) snatched right from my cart as I was loading into the trunk. I should’ve put it in the car first. Lesson learned!
I LOVE my Goodwill bins store! The mirror and lamps are just gorgeous. My store charges $1.79 per pound. But they will give a set price most of the time on heavier items if you ask.

My goodness your bins are a lot different than here in Wisconsin all the hard goods are in the back room all on shelving units which makes it a lot nicer and only the clothes are in bins the shoes the handbags are also separate so being with the bins are I think our bins are a little more of a pleasant experience I can see why you don’t go there very often but you always find A lot of great items and I have purchased from you as well I am also a reseller and love to do it

i WENT TO THE BINS YESTERDAY. I got Ralph Lauren bedding at .69 a pound. A pair of Coach Booties at $1.49. I'm thinking about skirting over again today as this has me pumped.

The Bins are my crack. My most expensive items that sold ($100-500) were found there! You just have to know what things are. ;-)

The red container that opened to multiple compartments is a makeup or beading organizer. Ive seen them on japanese videos used for makeup organization. However since it is an organizer Im sure it could be used for small toy storage.
