If I am not mistaken, the null test is the differences between saturation. You can hear it with the palm mutes, it almost seems like its tracking differently. From my test with ToneHub captures, I believe it's the power sag from the amp not being captured.
That is insane. I literally could not hear a difference.
Very nice. But the real test is: do you get the same look on your face as that time you did a Tonex null test 🙂.

The tone stack estimator is the only somewhat unique feature here. One that I've never personally felt I needed. The problem with all these capture methods now is gonna be like streaming. Libraries will be spread thin and I don't want to invest in all of them. ToneX and NAM already have great libraries, not to mention affordable hardware in the case of ToneX. How does STL end up the winner here? Especially when for $99 creating captures has the same technical needs as NAM?
Sounds real good. Was a little disappointed with how they marketed it for previous outright owners as a free update then WAIT actually another 100 dollars. I’ll still get it, but just a bit annoying.

@@krissmith2396it makes it seem like that, then you keep scrolling and it says after you purchase the plugin or if you have already, the tracer is an additional 100 dollar add on.
@@krissmith2396they make it seem that way in all the marketing then scroll to the bottom of the actual page and it says for current outright owners of tonehub pay 100 dollars to add the tracer feature.
@@krissmith2396 It's "free" for existing subscribers I think is what they mean, if you check the page and look at the "Explore Own Outright options" accordion, it's actually a $99 add on for people who own tonehub outright. So the "free" marketing is complete bullshit, unless they gave a free license to existing outright owners, but judging by there comments I've seen so far, it doesn't seem like it?
I dunno what the fuck they're thinking with this considering NAM is free, and if you don't own tonehub already it's another $200 just to get tonehub since you need it for the tracer add on, or you pay $15/mth lmao.
@@krissmith2396 STL Tones: Yes, the all-new ToneHub is a free update for all exisiting ToneHub customers, including perpetual customers. The Tracer & Trace Exchange is not included for perpetual customers, but can be purchased outright separately.
When all you hear is that vynil record static in the phase cancel test, you know its super accurate.
Too bad they waited so long. NAM kinda made this obsolete.
