Your wagon is a 64. Pretty desirable. Lots of ebay stuff there. Tailgates are hard to come by. The air dash is worth a buck too. You may not have local buyers for it but I'm guessing you'll get some action on ebay for it. Even with shipping costs. Bumpers, trim, and dash are one year only. Tailgate might work on a 63 but idk. Thanks for sharing

Hi Silas, That Mercury is a genuine mid-century kid hauler. I was born in 1954, yep, a genuine baby-boomer when the "population explosion" made a direct hit on the USA. My Mom and Dad bought a new Chevrolet Station Wagon in 1958, and later my Mom was a Cub Scout den mother. When it was time to take the boys somewhere, she would fold down the back seat and there was plenty of room for the 12 boys. They didn't have seat belt laws back then, however my Dad had 6 sets of seat belts in the wagon, and if the back seat was up, we wore seat belts. BTW: I heard about some cast iron table bases from Mexico that were very radioactive. Someone had thrown a lot of radioactive waste in a vehicle and it went to the steel mill and contaminated a lot of product.

In that condition, a short belt like that is worth $10 to $25, depending on where you sell them. EBay will get you the most money for them.

So what do you With the radioactive metal. I worked in a Malleable Iron foundry and or scrap iron trucks had to go through a detector. Only once in my 36 years did the detector go off. Shocked everybody but the whole load went back. We also couldn't have any chrome. Some chrome was allowed in engine blocks but not our brand of iron parts. Most people dont know theres about 6 or 7 different iron parts in rheir cars and trucks. Our transmission gears, u-joints and connecting rods had copper in them. 10 pounds in a 7 ton load of scrap metal that went into the induction furnace. It was put in to make the machining easier and smoother.

such as the 1948 Buick or the 1950 Oldsmobile ( Which I believe is the Super 88 ). The noses itself could be worth $ 3,500 to $5,000. Not even
counting the engines , transmissions plus the stain steel trim pieces etc. Parts such as those are very hard to find for restoration. You can name your price. Another outlet would be though Hemming Motor News. ( just saying ). ... . Robert in Queens, New York. ... .
