Jesus was even confused with John the Baptist whose hair....Jews of that era would not have gone out of their way to look like their Roman oppressors or have have had access to a barber shop on every corner. Even Judah had to kiss Jesus so that soldiers would know who to take away. It is unlikely he had hair past his shoulder as a carpenter, but even more unlikely he had Roman style length hair. If you want to quote Corinthians and using nature, well, the Bible calls Christ the Lion of Judah and the male lion in nature has long hair. Hair grows because it's how the body is made... the same way our nails grow.

Finally, something I disagree with Jennings on. If you keep reading, The Bible says we have no such custom. The statement "against nature" refers to society. Not God's plan. God made us the way he wanted us to be. If nature refered to the natural world, the opposite would be true. Male lions have long manes, peacocks have long pretty feathers, and beta fish have long pretty fins. You are to keep yourself kept up, but you don't have to shave your head like jennings.

I usually agree with Gino but not on this one. God has never said long hair is bad. Infact part of the being a nazirite is never cutting his hair. Gino here is preaching a flip flopping God. In one moment long is is acceptable if you're a nazirite in another its a shame to have. Thankfully a full reading of scriptures clears things up when Paul goes on to say that WE HAVE NO SUCH CUSTOM.

Someone please tell me what the definition of "long hair" is. At what point does your hair transform from short to long? Jesus never wore pants. It's it a sin for a man to wear a kilt? I understand the comment about them not hearing him teach and preach on love. This subject on love is very important; however, I rarely see any of his video titles talking about love for your neighbor. He has dozens of videos and I have not seen that title. Women With Short Hair Were Labeled Prostitutes. Paul Was Saying That In The Christian Culture Women Should Keep Their Hair Long.

Christ had long hair.Not going to get into all the evidences in these comments. But I'll give you a hint. If something in itself is sin or evil, God cannot sanctify it. God would be cleansing and justifying sin which is impossible. Therefore. If making a simple utterance of words or a vow to God made something intrinsically sinful not sinful or "okay" then God is sanctifying sin. God never said long hair is sin. 1 Corinthians 11:14 is horribly taken out of both Biblical and historical context. Be careful that you do not lay man made tests upon people's conscience as well meaning as you might be.

Now let’s deal with HAIR
1 Corinthians 14:14-15

16. But if any man seem to be contentious(meaning if any try to prove that him looking like a woman is okay), we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.
Now let’s deal with Ezekiel the Prophet

Let me preface this by saying that there is not one thing feminine about me. My stature, my long beard, my attire, the way I carry myself, etc. there is no confusion as to me being a man or a female. That being said I cut my hair when first hearing this scripture. But it the words kept ringing in my head, “doesn’t nature itself…” Well nature itself grows my hair long. If I don’t touch my hair and allow nature to take its course, my hair grows long. Not only that when examining the scriptures neither Jesus or his disciples say anything about long hair. It is Paul and apostle who addresses it and Paul is a Roman. Romans were one of the first civilizations to cut there hair as common place. So now I’ve let nature take its course since nature is what is in question until I can get a valid answer to these questions. I have no problem cutting my hair but I need to know how I am abiding by this scripture if I’m simultaneously going against it.

Many of Paul's other writings are misunderstood, and Peter even confirms some are hard to understand (2 Peter 3:16). Their should always be a second witness in Scripture before running with a 1 verse doctrine. One verse without the context of 2 verses down where it says "If you are contentious" We have no such customs. Brother if this is true... If you talk to your wife or girlfriend in church and she responds you are a hypocrite...Then following Pauls other comments... You are a hypocrite if you allow or speak to women at church! First Corinthians 14:33-35 states, “As in all the congregations of the saints, women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church”

Okay, to answer this question. Everyone exercises their own beliefs in many ways for many reasons. Jamaicans wear long dreads because it is a symbolification of their family tree. I was then thinking if this word applies then should not the word Leviticus 19:27 also apply.
You shall not shave around the sides of your head, nor shall you disfigure the edges of your beard.
However in 1 Corinthians 11:14 says something else.
Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?”

You can't read 1 verse in the bible and say men can't wear long hair. The law of the nazarite says that a man can.. Judges 13:5 For, lo, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and no razor shall come on his head: for the child shall be a Nazarite unto God from the womb: and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines. Leviticus 19:27 Ye shall not round the corners of your heads, neither shalt thou mar the corners of thy beard. .. when reading the Bible read line upon line, precept upon precept and also Numbers 6:1-5. Samson's strength was his hair and dreadlocks can also be worn as in scripture

I just heard the teaching about Samson being under the law. I felt that there was something to this I just didn't know how to find it. I'm learning and asking questions just like the next person. Men typically had shorter hair than women, but what was considered "short" depended on the culture. The culture Paul was speaking to had men wearing their hair shorter than women. So, if a man had long hair, it appeared like he was trying to look like a woman. Also, I believe that male s*x workers in that culture had long hair, so it would have been confusing for fellow Christians to see a Christian man with long hair. Nowadays, a guy with long hair isn't automatically assumed to be making any kind of statement like that. A woman can have short hair without it being a statement that she's g*y. You can tell the difference between a man who just has long hair, and a man who's tr@ns. You can tell the difference between a woman with short hair who dresses in jeans and a t-shirt vs a woman who's trying to come across as masculine.
Well if he kept on reading to verse 16 in first Corinthian’s 11 he would know that it states if anyone seems to be contentious we have no such custom nor do the church of God. So that not true 💯

Wrong. The original Koine Greek does not say this. It’s an incomplete translation. The Greek word for hair (kome) refers to wearing your hair as a stylized adornment (like a woman), and the length is secondary. Besides, length is relative. How long? Hence, the Orthodox Church has always had priests with long hair, inspired by the Nazareth vow. If you have a beard you won’t look like a woman. A shaven face for a man is more effeminate than not.
