if you have a chance take the Sabatti rover Alaskan for a review. it have a white polished barrel and it have that scout look but in the same time it is 24inch and on top of that is heavy varmint barrel. Looks like it is the top of the line for a hunting rifle. Suppressed there isn't a single review of that beauty on TH-cam
At some point I was planning on getting the version that takes AICS mags, but complains about the specs being off and you end up stuck with the (very expensive) 7 round Sabatti mags put me off...
When reading the catalogue specs it seems that the. 223 doesn't have the multi radial rifling that sabatti is famous for? I really want a new hunting rifle, but I think it might have to be in 6.5mm creedmoor to get the MRR barrel. I'm not sure what would be left of poor old basil if clobbered with .308, and tbh 6.5 might not be noticeably less different.
The Sabatti Rover Hunter Classic Pro rifle comes with a walnut stock finished in a warm “enhanced” wood graining coating, which combines a classic style and lightness with improved ergonomics and a soft recoil pad which helps tame the heavier calibers kick. The stock comes with a removable cheek rest and a shim to adjust the stock length of pull.
Konus scopes are crap. I had one on my Diana break barrel sub 12 and it lasted 2 shots and the cross hair spun around despite it being a brand new scope. So i put on a cheap Chinese made simmons 4x32 and that was nearly 5 years ago and it is still going strong.
@chrisparkin431 cheers Chris. I am also looking to buy the mdt cz 22lr. I have an immaculate 1417 that I'm selling to do a one for one. You seemed to shoot some cracking groups on test. Any thoughts re trigger upgrades, or should I at least try the stock unit? All the best J
Beautiful piece of art, Excellent Vid!!

Is this a proprietary action or is compatible with say Rem700 aftermarket parts for example?
Proprietary action unfortunately

As far as I'm concerned, if a rifle does not lock when the safety is on, it's no good for me.
The magazine, trigger guard and magazine release remind me of my Franchi. Apparently there is no relationship between the two companies.
There is, they share a lot of stuff. You can easily adapt Sabatti stocks to Franchi’s and viceversa

That trigger weight is unsatisfying. Hope it’s adjustable.
I have a Sabatti Tech Evo 6.5 Creedmore.
It’s like cheating compared to a .308.
Excellent guns and very economical prices.
ELDM's need a fairly fast twist rate!
@@Guide504 you are correct, slip of the tongue
@chrisparkin431 no bother just was wondering. Been trying to stabilise the 72 and 75 eldm in a 9.5 twist 223
I have Had the 73gr ELD stabilise in a 1 in 9" but I was p;leasantly surprised, I hadn't expected it. see the cz 600 american 223 review
