    My gf just got me this and i was kinda overwhelmed at first since the most complex card game ive played is uno. But watching you play and explain as you go gave me such a clear understanding. Thank you :)

    Note that a kukri is type of dagger and an estoc is a type of sword, not names the assassin gave them. I like the idea of the assassin naming her weapons though!

    The “show these guys the business” and “Mr. Man” comments had me crying laughing lol. I LOVE the enthusiasm. It makes it entertaining. Liking the vids. Should def make more and maybe even have full on adventures in a single video and/or make some with other players and you be the host. I’d def watch more. Just bought the game and am learning it. This was informative and entertaining. Gl:hf

    The way I treat the poison is: it will hit you even if you win the fight in one round. If it is your first fight, the poison can possibly kill you if it takes your last card. However, once you have won your first fight you gain Resolve, which means poison can only kill/damage you during a fight, and you cannot be killed by it after a victory(but you can take damage after a win, health permitting). Kinda works.

    It looks like the deck-building is pretty automatic, where you just grab the items and the combo cards that support your class' colours. Then again, possibly you don't want to be bogged down too much between battles, and different loot will add more complications.

    Hey. When placing enemies at 30mins, you only put out a medium enemy instead of a hard one. Hard enemies have a sword under the helmet icon.
    Great play through once again though!

    Couple things, when do the remnant humanity cards come into play? And he refills his hand every time he reacts to an attack but the rules only say to refill your hand after YOU attack

      Op nvm about the first one I just got to the part where you explain remnant cards😂

      Can you tell me in what page of the rules says that players only draw after they attack? I just went to check the rules and I saw it clearly state on page 17 on the "player Reactions" that:
      "Once all enemies have activated, players draw until they have six cards in their hand. Remember, if any player needs to draw a card and cannot, the encounter immediately ends and the players must rest at the bonfire"
      On Page 19. it says that you also draw at the end of the player activation...
      So, as far as I see he played correctly

    There is some sort of errata it seems. You said and I have read from elsewhere that if an Enemy cannot Spawn in a Row, you will wait till a Space becomes available. However, the Rulebook says that Enemy is then placed anywhere on the Board as you like. What is the proper ruling?

    Perhaps I'm misunderstanding how the deckbuilding part works, but... wouldn't it always be better to just fill your deck to capacity with Remnants of Humanity and then switch out basic cards with the advanced ones you just bought? This way, you essentially do NOT increase your deck size (as the Remnants are immediately replaced by another card the moment they are played), and you still get better cards. Am I missing something?

    • @rahdo
      @rahdo  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      rem cards still count towards your total card count, and during play, you blow through them super fast. once your deck runs out, you die, you don't reshuffle and continue. so you want a deck fat with cards that will actually do something :)

    • @KingOfNormans
      @KingOfNormans 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      "rem cards still count towards your total card count"
      But that's my point! In a deckbuilder, you want a deck as thin as possible, with cards as powerful as possible. Rems allow you to get that: a 31 cards deck with 3 of those is functionally identical to a 28 cards deck, and (in my eyes, at least) is better than a 31 cards deck full of garbage ("basic") cards. True, in this instance, your cards are also your HP... but it seems to me that having more "concentrated power" in the form of better cards would allow you to deal with enemies more quickly, therefore preventing said enemies from doing any damage at all. I may be wrong, though

    • @Deomcg
      @Deomcg 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      KingOfNormans you'll just burn through them quicker with remnants. 2 cards for useful card. But can use them to discard when attacked. Essentially they act as 1hp.

      I know this reply is late, but to help anyone who may have this question: The reason you don't want a ton of remnants is because you can only do ONE non attack action a turn. If you have multiple remnants, you're either taking unmitigated damage or having your hand clogged with cards you can't get rid of fast enough. They're good for keeping your deck size up for taking hits, but you don't want too many for that reason.

    'Estoc' is pronounced 'Ess-tock' ... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Estoc ... long pointy sword with a 3 to 4.5 foot edgeless blade. It's not just a named weapon, it's a real historical weapon.
