    As a Bears fan, it pains me that we wasted so much talent such like Cordarralle under the reign of Matt Nagy. Cordarralle has always been a beast in the NFL.

      The Bears tried to do this but Nagy was, unfortunately, way too stupid to do it effectively. He should've been used as a TE/H back taking sweeps, running routes, but our team just did not take care of the ball well enough to run plays well that would have used him correctly. He was a beast on our special teams tho.

      Ehhhh. I dont think theres gonna be widebacks that do it like Deebo and Cordarelle. Hes big and can absorb contact. Not many flex/WRs can, most are skinny, fragile and speedy. The big WRs that can are deep threats that are usually slow and cant run in open space. Deebo and Cordarelle are definitely gems

    • @juzta
      @juzta 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      @@cuhgaming4943 I can ehhhh as well. Especially prospect wise. A lot of prospects are going to pick up Wideback abilities and programs around the country probably want receivers and RB’s to develop those skills.
      For ex, the big QB’s who are athletic with amazing arm talent. Andrew Luck as a prospect was that… and then a few years later we started to get a lot of them, Wentz being the main one since Luck. Eventually guys like Lance, Josh Allen, Herbert, Jordan Love, Mahomes even (albeit 6’3 and not like 6’4 and above compared to the others) all came along. Some of those guys I mentioned are anomalies (Mahomes, Allen for example.) But eventually it’s gonna become the norm. That’s why everyone is hyped to see a 6’6 QB who can run really well with exceptional-great athleticism and has a good-great arm.
      (Literally those type of prospects get overvalued due to it)
      So yes, we’re going to get a lot of big dudes who can play that wideback role soon. Rn Deebo and Cordarrelle are main 2 (CMC is also one of those guys and hopefully he’ll be healthy) but soon we’re gonna have a lot of these gadget players and dudes who want to commit to a wideback role.

    Well deserved. Falcons need help at RB and WR so if someone steps up he can move positions. That versatility is rare.

    "This is a sample of the 30 kick return touchdowns between the 2013 and 2016 seasons. I studied the tape and traced the route of the return man on each play. Originally, I wanted to see if I could identify some kind of trends, some kind of trick that made some returns more successful.
    But honestly, the only advice I could give is to be Cordarrelle Patterson."
