Thank you everyone for the warm wishes, prayers and thoughts. I am already feeling so much better. Should be shooting a video this week for next Sunday. Thank you all for watching and your support. Thank you to the Skylabs team for helping me this last week. Feeling lots of love :) Kevin
Get well, Kevin !! I passed through Des Moines on I-80 today (Sunday) on the way back from Long Beach, CA , of course when Skylabs was shut, and I was thinking of you when I saw the exit for West Des Moines.
Great job gentlemen! Really nice hearing you keep the videos going while Kevin is healing. Nice hearing the both of you discuss the topics asked. Really good work. Love this Channel, you prove the reasons why. Really great Team @SkyLabsAudio.
Good morning sonic brotherhood! Great video guy's, thank you for filling in while Kevin heals. I like Rob's answer concerning the EQ's, they are like a very potent spice, a small amount in the right dish adds flavor, body, and kick. The same is true with music and EQ's, but to much spice or adding it to the wrong dish can ruin the best event, musical or culinary. EQ's are useful but there is a learning curve, as I grew in the audio culture I found that more and more the EQ lever was in the off position and the tone controls were pretty well centered, however it is nice to be able to just flip a switch and breath new life into bland, flat sounding media. Thank's again for the video. Kevin miss you but please take the time you need to recover!!!
Hi Kevin, I am a pretty new listener/subscriber to your channel and have found tons of good information from your videos, and as you say on almost everyone of them, they're "lots of fun". My prayer is that you have a full and fast recovery from whatever has gotten you in need of surgery. Please get well and come back to doing the thing you so obviously enjoy. Larry
I have had that same question about the filter caps on my SX 1280. I had the receiver serviced but didn’t replace them because they were having no issues. These two are doing a great job. Also speeding recovery Kevin.
Thanks for this fantastic video! It’s always great to see you guys. Your knowledge of vintage audio equipment blows my mind. 👍🏽 Best wishes with your snout, Kevin!
Wow, just by chance, you answered a problem I just started having with my balance control right off the bat. Thanks And yes, Kevin is in my thoughts and hope he's doing well
Best wishes for Kevin's speedy recovery. Any kind of nose/sinus surgery can be pretty painful. Hoping He's feeling better! You guys did a great job on the video.
One over looked "component" that improves all around sound is the system rack, and some good speaker stands. You don't have to spend a fortune (but you can!?!) and there are various DIY plans out there. But honestly they make a very audible difference. Especially if your playing vinyl. Just sayin'......
Clean the stylus before playing each record side. Note that I sald "before". There are good reasons for thinking of it this way. I use a Discwasher stylus brush.
Great Info. I hope Kevin is all healed up back soon. Meanwhile, it's great to see that Eric and Rob can keep up the great work : that should make Kevin rest much easier ; )
I hope Kevin is doing well. I like that channel because you are calm. I'm someone who is calm, so it's perfect for me. Hello both of you. You should participate more often, and explain to non tech people, the difference between different circuit, with exemple, like the difference between semi push pull, direct coupled vs capacitor coupled vs transformer coupled, normal bi polar between mos-fets etc. That would be interesting.
