It seems like the transitional government is being established without any real issue. I think we're seeing the end of the civil war and Syria will become like Iraq where the country is mostly returned to peace, there's a truce with Rojava (like Iraq's with Pershmerga), and all that's left is the low-level ISIS insurgency.
13 years of war ended in a week or so. Gotta respect the planning and strategic moves on the opposition end when it looked like all was over. Can’t say Assad didn’t bring this on himself but he’s lucky he got to survive.
the same chaos will ensue as in Libya. USA manages to destabilize a country and their Al Qaida and ISIS cells move in. we all know it will be a bloodbath for ordinary people (USA is good at that)
Russians are living a rather mundane life, their conditions of living are somewhat improving, their cities are much safer than Western Europeans ones where I'm from, their women can freely walk the streets dressed up sexy alone in the middle of the night without fearing assault, I'm sure millions of Russians are pissed of with Putin and would like to see some changes but why would they take up arms? Russia survived, gained international respect, spread weapons and its people in Africa and Asia, and also proved they have weapons capable of destroying any enemy, seriously Oreshnik nullified the entire concept of missile defense in Europe, which Putin and Yeltsin had previously opposed. Israel isn't stealing Syrian land. They entered what was a UN sanctioned buffer zone and not under Syrian control for decades, to establish a presence and lock down the border. If Israel wanted to take over Damascus, they'd be in Damascus by yesterday. They are content with locking down the border area, to prevent Hezbollah and the like taking it over in the chaos, and destroying the heavy equipment (missiles, jets, anything with long range) of the Syrian Army (well, whatever is left of it anyway), to make sure it's not used against them. Other than that, they are in a "wait and see" stance.
A great scholar Fox Mulder once said, "I want to believe." IF genuine peace can settle over Syria that's at least a positive step. If peace can be had between religious or ethnic groups would be ideal.
Its crazy people think this guy might be okay with Isreal when his chosen name basically means "Take back the Golan Heights". Probably not a great sign for Regional autonomy either
@golagiswatchingyou2966 it's basically the jihadists signature move, though. Last guy was horrible and he was a Minority. Now that there is a highly religious majority ethnic group in charge, I wouldn't make any positive assumptions given the leaders history

I think we're seeing the end of the civil war and Syria will become like Iraq where the country is mostly returned to peace, there's a truce with Rojava (like Iraq's with Pershmerga), and all that's left is the low-level ISIS insurgency.
Finally you uploaded something on this. It's simply mindblowing just how fast all of this happened, even I was shocked when I first heard the news.
His absurd take of "Syria returning to the control of the people" when a Jihadi is the new President couldn't be any more tone deaf and deceptive.
Good afternoon Warfronts
Usually wait a month or two and I get a recap from Frontline on PBS. But you have put this together in less than a week. Thank you
Is probably naive to expect instant improvement, but one can hope things are better for the Syrian people and at least some form of democracy appears.
Great job as always. I don't know how you manage to produce such wonderful content across so. many channels.
Man the middle east is one hell of a warzone
Middle East is THE WAR ZONE
Thanks for the western powers
My comment got deleted, and it was not even mean, lol.
Always has been since the beginning of our time.
It’s one of the birthplaces of
Civilization.
And with civilization came a new level of strife as much as achievement
Took you long enough, Simon. 😂
Good to see it though as this was my highly anticipated video!
13 years of war ended in a week or so. Gotta respect the planning and strategic moves on the opposition end when it looked like all was over.
Can’t say Assad didn’t bring this on himself but he’s lucky he got to survive.
Thank you for these timely updates on various events.
Love it thst you take your time instead of releasing a half backed rusbed episode
It's not over...the Assad regime is...but the factionalism continues.
Time will tell.
the same chaos will ensue as in Libya. USA manages to destabilize a country and their Al Qaida and ISIS cells move in. we all know it will be a bloodbath for ordinary people (USA is good at that)
It depends in my opinion.
Syria could always federalize itself, giving local autonomy to it's various sectors.
its over assad ran away
I mean the civil war isnt over, the SDF still controls a lot of land
was waiting for this, Simon ty
And writer and editor and everyone else involved
Ever since I saw the news that Assad fell I’ve been waiting for you to make this. Thank you.
if only russsians could liberate themselves from kreml regime
even more proof they don't want to really
Russians are true lemmings.
Russia with all its fault and problems is not a hell hole...
@@erwanmarie8756😂😂😂😂😂
Its sad tbh. The problem with russia is not the country, its the government.
Been waiting for this
After 13 long years of a civil war, the Syrian people achieved a goal wholly fought for by themselves, remarkable it took this long, surprising that the taking of Damascus was essential bloodless.
Thank you so much for this amazing presentation of that historical day
I'm cautiously optimistic. Cautious to the point of near cynicism, but still optimistic
This channel hasn’t popped up on my feed before but I was pretty sure it was gonna be Whistlerverse and I was not disappointed.
I love this channel so much. Pure well narrated facts with minimal commentary.
Errr, its pretty much ALL commentary?
@@wile-e-coyote8371 yes, i mean its minimal straight to the point, without unnecessary things.
It’s really impressive that your team gets these out so fast.
30:15 Some guy just got a real nice furniture upgrade for his next house party lol. "Oh, you like the upholstery? Yeah, that's from the Assad Palace. NBD"
Thanks for posting. I've just returned to lovely Ireland after a couple of months in Iraq and am still digesting everything that has happened over the last couple of weeks. I've spent over a decade with, for and IN Syria and these days have been insane! Highly complex but I have some reasons why this happened, and mentioned this elsewhere over the last three plus years.
Peace for Syria.
His regime fell like a glass and shattered, with unfathomable speed, that showed just how brittle his regime of terror really was.
Only took 10+ years of fighting and major great powers funding the terrorists and aiding them in the war directly to bring it about.
I was wondering how long til an episode would come as soon as the news broke like "guaranteed warographics" in my head. Also, congrats on hitting 1M subs!
I know you got a CEO video for me simon! Tell me the facts fact boy!
I don't think that's a Warfronts video. Maybe Into the Shadows or Casual Criminalist?
Thanks for this great program - much better than any major news agency could do. I hope the many people of Syria can form a new nation in peace. I also hope that outside countries will allow the Syrian people to form a nation without undo interference. This wish includes my own country USA which I believe needs to let the Syrian people find their way.
The most surreal moment must have been for those Syrians in Sednaya prison being liberated.
Some have been in solitary isolation for so long that they thought Hafiz was still alive, and it was Saddam Hussien's army who freed them.
Some are still to be found buried somewhere under the prison, time is ticking as no one can survive more than 3 days without water. Hell on earth...
@@erwanmarie8756Do other prisoners know how to get them? I mean where the doors are etc.
@@leas7830 well as far as we know they found nothing that could indicate a massive underground section like what has been depicted by rumours, I guess (I don't actually know who spread that information)
Those sections which is known as the Red Section has been depicted to be as at least 3 levels deep and is behind a massive severity door that only the prison guard know how to open (something similar to Bank vault door according to the description)
All of the prisoners that was it the part of the prison that we know of are free
For the rest then they may or may not exist, we don't know at this point
Thanks for updating!
Can't wait to see how our governments absolutely muck up this opportunity.
By the looks of it, Israel and the US are already looking to keep the country destabilised with the former looking to invade another slice of Syria. Can't really trust Turkey to keep their fingers off the Kurdish held parts either.
I love this channel!!! Thanks for your work!!! ❤
I love how HTS are now "rebels".
Few years ago they were terrorists, how soon we forget that HTS used to be the Al Nusra Front. ( AKA Al-Qaeda)
But I am SURE they have totally changed. No way the rebrand was just a ploy to get Turkish and Israeli help and weapons.
That's politics. We (the random people not in charge of any part of the situation) will have to wait and see what actually happens next.
They were islamist rebels. If you use the broad rebel-government divide.
"Terrorists" to Bashar includes all non-government forces not directly invited.
HTS weren’t backed by Israel. They were only backed by Turkey and Qatar
He said they were designated as terrorists and a part of AQ and allied with IS in the past. I'm not sure what you want? Assad back?
@@specialnewb9821 Remember that time we helped Islamist "freedom fighters"? That didn't work out so well. I just find it funny how an AQ and ISIS affiliate can rename themselves then be absolved of their crimes. Maybe if I rob a bank and change my name I too can no longer be a criminal! lol
Mostly I'm just mocking the schizo foreign policy we have these days. Nato members arming former AQ militias. Crazy world.
I love the biographics, now I can’t get enough of this coverage. Well done.
Did I just hear that the revolution… was televised
Thanks! I've been waiting for this one
This is the video I've been wanting for over the last few days, one without the bias and agendas of news outlets!
Fantastic video. Subbing. Im happy of the Syrian people!
With luck it won't be "Meet the new boss, same as the old one".
Thanks Simon-crew
One should be asking - where did these rebels obtain NVGs, sniper rifles, etc? As usual, follow the money.
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS 😮😮
I'm highly skeptical about the idea that these extremists have suddenly turned over a new leaf and discovered the ideals of peace and tolerance. I find it much more likely that they are saying what we want to hear because their grasp on power is still tenuous and could be taken away very easily by outside interference or domestic unrest. They need to keep everyone hopeful until they have a firm enough grip that they can reveal their true intentions.
Everyone's grasp is tenuous; if Syrian democracy happens it'll be less because of any given faction winning than because a coalition gets used to power-sharing
Bashar: "SAVE ME!!!"
Putin: "Please hold."
Kohmeni: MAILBOX IS FULL
Hezb: "Who dis? New phone."
"new phone" is right 🤣
Thanks for the even transparent broadcast. At least to me, you made it make sense.
>Jimmy Carter outlived the Assad Regime
So did Prince Charles of Wales. He is king now.
22:48 what's that flag the one guy is waving? Looks like the flag of the Chinese republic from 1912
I slept and it ended already.
Ah finally the special episode
The man who had millions of Syrians flee and turn to refugees, has become the last Syrian to seek refuge! Oh the irony.
Incredibly proud of and cautiously hopeful for the Syrian people 🇸🇾 I hope that all the different factions and players in this can remember the people and actively try to build a peaceful nation that cares for all its citizens.
HTS could ease regional tension further by possibly allowing a Kurd State in the north
Even if the HTS allow, Turkey will not
@G.A.C_Preserve I know it's just a pipedream....also a reminder that if it weren't for the straits that Turkey contol one would ask wtf is Turkey even in NATO...constantly playing both sides
@@jason4273 yeah
@G.A.C_Preserve that's a good point...a sovereign Kurdish state though could possibly remove the need for the PKK which would potentially negate any legitimacy of Turkish hostility
But given HTS seem to be hitting PKK sites now, it all seems unlikely 😪
Been waiting for this video
Keeping my fingers crossed for the Syrian people. Hoping the new regime keeps its word.
Love your videos
Unfortunately, we live in interesting times. I can see 3 Rome like empires falling, Russia, US and last Communist China. And all due to different reasons. Let's hope not too much blood will flow.
Russia, I can see, depending on how long their war goes on. The other two? Maybe, but not in our lifetime.
Your analysis is so bad you can’t even imagine. China is gaining strength, its economic growth is still high, it has called partners in Asia and Africa, its army budget is only 2 times less than that of the United States.
With the arrival of Trump, the United States will resume deals with Asian anti-Chinese countries, strengthen the economy, and expand NATO.
Russia survived, gained international respect, spread weapons and its people in Africa and Asia, and also proved they have weapons capable of destroying any enemy, seriously Oreshnik nullified the entire concept of missile defense in Europe, which Putin and Yeltsin had previously opposed.
India is on the way, and with the fall of the EU, Britain is increasing its influence. Everything is just beginning. Now the main question is whether Iran will have time to create nuclear weapons before Israel, the United States and Turkey crush it...
@@rinaldoman3331 sorry to say, but it's a paper tiger. There is a saying in some places where china has invested and is like this, do you want Chinese or good ? Also, massive attack against society, unemployed rates greater than ever, the construction bubble collapse and many bank since people stopped paying for loans for houses that will never be constructed. So yeah fk your opinion, I'm stating facts
@@Warfoki The tariffs' economy will make stuff very expensive for normal people. Also, the Roman Empire its fall didn't start in one day. It was an accumulation of factors.
Simon, are you throwing elbow strikes on boards? That's a helluva knot you got there.
Is it better than before ? We will see 😢 Hope its not gona be another Bad State lead by Al Kaida
Dont hold your breath, seems like folks in that part of the world thrive on perpetual chaos.
@@wile-e-coyote8371As opposed to the west who enter wars only to exploit the people they invade. Much more noble
The audio in this video seems really unclear. Never had this problem with watching this channel before.
and now come human rights for every human, religious freedom, freedom of speech, and a robust democracy in Syria. Right? Let's hope.
Good luck, Syria
Mderry Christmas to the staff of Warfronts as well as to the Warfrontsnation.
Who else feels the world's events of 2024 are not as they claim, msn is now a reality show 🍿
We’re glad you “feel” that way. Is this channel “msm” or is your tinfoil hat on a little bit too tight?
Stop watching infowars and get some help, schizo.
Take care for your elbow, Simon. Good video too!
That dudes first name is jihad ? Sound like a stand up guy
no, it's G. Had 🤣
Interesting, interesting indeed. The world will be watching closely at what the new regime turns into (well if not the world, at least this channel and us). If they stay what they say they are great, but this is the Middle East we're talking about. Something always goes wrong. Thanks for sharing this Simon, crazy that TH-cam is the place for real world news.
So no one is gonna talk about Israel stealing Syrian land
Israel isn't stealing Syrian land. They entered what was a UN sanctioned buffer zone and not under Syrian control for decades, to establish a presence and lock down the border. If Israel wanted to take over Damascus, they'd be in Damascus by yesterday. They are content with locking down the border area, to prevent Hezbollah and the like taking it over in the chaos, and destroying the heavy equipment (missiles, jets, anything with long range) of the Syrian Army (well, whatever is left of it anyway), to make sure it's not used against them. Other than that, they are in a "wait and see" stance.
can't steal what's rightfully theirs
A great scholar Fox Mulder once said, "I want to believe." IF genuine peace can settle over Syria that's at least a positive step. If peace can be had between religious or ethnic groups would be ideal.
Its crazy people think this guy might be okay with Isreal when his chosen name basically means "Take back the Golan Heights". Probably not a great sign for Regional autonomy either
I very much doubt he will attack the hand that feeds him.
@golagiswatchingyou2966 it's basically the jihadists signature move, though.
Last guy was horrible and he was a Minority. Now that there is a highly religious majority ethnic group in charge, I wouldn't make any positive assumptions given the leaders history
@@golagiswatchingyou2966this guy gets it
He’s a cia agent don’t worry .
Golan heights is Syrian territory. Maybe Syria should defend itself into Israeli territory also since they showed a map of greater Israel which threatens the sovereignty of their nation. Hypocrites.
Scrolling my feed and saw this and thought yes been meaning to catch up on this… fucking fact boi pops up! How tf did I miss this channel?! I better go check for more
Wow that new Syrian rebel leader actually reminds me of a Salah Adeen reborn with his masterful PR and preparedness in these times of war!
You fell for his bullshit huh
