I have this very problem. I bought a bike that had this problem and I have been trying to workout what is wrong. What I thought might have been wrong was they had torn through the power cord that joins three coloured wires into two and I wasn’t sure they had re-wired it wrong. So I checked TH-cam for solutions and found your video. So I will let you know how I go.
E2 means that the servo is not responding. It could be stuck (especially if the bike has not been used for a while). Try giving the servo motor a gentle tap with the end of a screwdriver. If that does not work then you will probably need to replace it. Also, it could be the wiring or the console but thee are less likely causes of the fault. Hope this helps. Best wishes, Jon

Axis cycle R here: Even cheaper design then this and it won’t calibrate! Any idea on a short cut in the menu that will cause it to do this?
Found the solution, just replace the potentiometer. Voila
Potentiometer is most likely fucked in deed!!!
