Wow, is he humble! Don't forget about his role in the movie Stand and Deliver (filmed while on Miami Vice), which is one of my favorite movies of all time. This speech says a lot about Edward and says a lot about Don and Michael who didn't show up.
Our charming "Charles Bronson" by way of Havana. Oh, how I wish to come up to his face like Tubbs did in "One Eyed Jack" to take a selfie with him. 😁 Greetings from Switzerland! I'm still watching the whole show every 1-2 years.
"I'm an oldie but a goodie" Understatement of the century!! Edward James Olmos was one of the most quintessential cast members of the show!! Without Lt. Castillo there wouldn't have been MIAMI VICE!!!! As far as I am concerned, the man is like fine wine JUST GETS BETTER WITH AGE!!!!!!!!
I’m glad he mentioned Gregory Scierra briefly, I always wondered why he left the show. He did the same thing on Barney Miller after the first season. I just assumed he was a guy that was either difficult to work with or didn’t like long commitments in television. Great actor though.
Used to like him until i saw the interview (you can find it on here somewhere) which demonstrated his narcissism and ego when he got the job and during his time on it.
And to think, he almost didn't go to the event, and had to be talked into coming. It wouldn't have been the same without our Lieutenant!

That Series Turn South Beach into the Riviera of the USA. Good Show, E.J.O.
So well deserved. Amaing actor, wonderful man. Thank you.
God bless him
What a lovely human being.
Edward made the same whistling sound as the first time he appeared in Miami Vice, (in the episode “One Eyed Jack”): 1:48
