What a great result!! Brings a new meaning to “bloody hell” good job! Your training is really paying off big time. A 2 minute PB is outstanding. Great recap of a interesting race. Looked like frogger for a minute there.
Thanks mate! Haha yes coming back through the town was a bit dicey but to be fair the Marshalls were warning the cars and they were going slow so it’s all good
Hey Andy! Brilliant performance! I'm using this one as inspiration as I get closer to my big race! So happy you course corrected and stayed strong after that mix-up! Keep pushing my friend!
Great work Andy. Congratulations on the PB!. The course looked amazing. Some nice hilly sections. The marshals looked like they did a good job controlling the traffic when you hit the town.
CONGRATS Andy!!!! Always GREAT to get a PB, and despite your tumble too, bravo!!! You must've jumped up again quickly. I so often take a tumble, tripping on something, and it f***ing hurts for a moment, and my knees are so ugly now with scars.😂 A lung burner, a lung buster... I like that!! I don't do that so often myself but did a bit of a one yesterday evening actually at 5.45 pace (fast for me) and it did feel great!!
Thanks Bev! Yeah for that short moment it really hurt and I was so annoyed but I had to try and snap out of it pronto!! Ah awesome well done, the lung burners are always rewarding afterwards!
Sub 6min/mi pace is stellar. Just joined the group on Strava though I am a long distance member across the pond in California in Los Angeles County. Also following on FaceBook now.
Awesome running Andy normally I would enjoy those downhills but, they were more painful for my side, happy with my overall time fitness is there just side stopped me getting a sub 53 even sub 52
Thanks Sharon! Yes that’s often the case isn’t it, the excessive pounding down hill seems to shake up our bodies a bit more!! Really hope you can get it sorted for the next race 🤞
That wasn't a race, it was a bloody hill workout. My legs woulda been screaming after that. Here's hoping you have no longer term effects from the tumble. Well done!

Thanks mate! Likewise, you’re crushing training at the moment 💪

Thanks mate! Yeah they were great, they slowed traffic, stopped it if necessary 👌
I love seeing local race videos. Some of the best events! Looks like a great course and well done on the course PB
Thanks! Local races are the best, they beat bigger races hands down… never any pressure and always good to support local clubs!
More superb running, Andy. You're on fire lately - keep it going!
Thanks so much mate, I’ll keep trying!
Well done! What a beautiful course and what looks like perfect conditions 👍🏻🌞
Thanks! It’s such a great course!

Thanks kate!
Man down! 😂 Great racing, hitting the deck could've sabotaged the whole thing so well done on pulling it back for that. 👍
Haha thanks mate, it was more like “timberrrrrrrr” 😂
Congrats on the race Andy! With all that speed work in maybe now it's the time to chase a 10k pb! :D
Thanks! Yes I’ll be doing that in January, got a race set up for it!

Thanks Thomas!!
Glad it it went well. I seem to be falling over quite a lot recently as well - maybe not used to the damp weather 🥴 top racing!
Thanks! This was a first for me in a race, ive fallen on the trails a few times but not on gravel!!
@@TheFODRunner youre going to fast mate!
We’ll done Andy! I’ve had the exact same scrapes from a fall.
Thanks! Annoying when it happens isn’t it, we’ve just got to dust ourselves off and go again!
Awesome result, Andy! The adrenaline from the fall gave you a little boost, perhaps?
Thanks! I was very annoyed and I lost my breathing rhythm for a bit but once I got it back I felt absolutely fine again, which was good!
Great run Andy💪
Hope your legs ok today
Thanks mate! It’s a bit sore but ok

That would drive my OCD up the wall to finish a run on 9.5 k great time it looks a great race
Haha it’s a funny old distance but good fun!
Great running andy!!my aim is to get under the 50 minute mark for 10k..im 52 years old now so it will be an achievement for me!
