We moved in! Here is our lovely house in the green state of Washington.
We don't know how long we will live in this house/country, and this is not even our own home.
But everyone wants to live in the house of their dreams. That won't happen if we don't do something about it! We all need a home that helps us relax and recharge, it even impacts our mental health :) Therefore, I believe that creating comfort even in rented housing is essential.
So here is the first part of our story of how we have found our new nest, how a house became a home…
Today's video is all about backyard decor, but also want to show you some thrifted treasures for our home and share with you some moments of the first month of our life in the new house.

The whole video and, especially, the last part with a birthday dinner and a moonlit town at night remind me of the works of Thomas Kinkade and his book “Simpler Times”. He said ‘Picture life the way you’re hungry to live it, in your deepest heart of hearts. Picture simpler times’. I’m sure many of us are fascinated by these moments of your life because they depict the desires of our hearts. The last part with this heart warming music brings me to tears.

* Hi, i do not know what voice acting is, sorry.
* I hope to find me the book you showed; The Secret Staircase, because I love to sit and slowly enjoy such books, the sweet stories, and pictures . . since I was very little.
* I've lived the old ways for a large portion of my life, wood cook stove, carrying water in, most all food grown and prepared at home, grew my own grains for my animals with horses, shocking oats by hand, worked hard but loved it, six day's a week, of each season. Hand sewed all my clothes, used a treadle later - some, spin wool, weave. But that's been a bit of awhile back, and I'm not sure if I can return to that, though I just bought me a very old, scandanavian spinning wheel that spins beautifully still, and I have 3 sheeps fleeces to spin up. I want to, very badly, return to this way, miss it more than I could say . . .
About Home ~ I don't have one right now, staying temp with my daughter, on her farm, working hard to find me somewhere to call home, even if it must be rented, if I can find one. So I know well the value of "home". I agree with you, it is important to make where we live pleasant, lovely, clean, and simple.
Thank you for your lovely videos. I do like some talking, sharing, if it's gentle, calm, and of good things, truthful, lovely, honest ! Our lives are not everyday roses blooming, nevertheless each day can bloom lovely within if we nurture whats true and beautiful ~ Abba's love within us, and give.

This video is dreamy! It helps me appreciate more the American countryside instead of always being reminiscent of my home land (Greece). I wish to be able to make the most out of where I'm planted by God and watching this has truly inspired and motivated me to grow!

Be sure to place something hanging that dangles or moves, like a bead garland, from the top of frame of the mirrored window on the shed. (17:14)
It should hang in front of each square of mirror pane. Birds will fly into the mirrored glass as the tree reflection confuses them. Any garden mirror should have a safety feature to distract birds from flying into it. 🐦

with dubbing it's very good, I like all your videos but especially this one. I've just moved into an apartment/house, very nice, but I can't settle in. I don't know if it's is because I rent it and I think that since it is not mine I should not decorate it. But watching this video, I wanted to make it warm and maybe I'll get started. I lost my house, everything in it, my clothes, my furniture, my memories, all my things and I have to start all over again. Oh ! How I would like to have pretty things like you, pretty crockery and the beautiful clothes you wear, but I can't afford all that. I have to think of the children first. Thank you for these beautiful videos, which for a moment make me forget and lose myself in dreams.

Когда я была беженцем в чужой стране ,у хозяйки в саду росла такая же чайная роза ,я научила её варить варенье из роз :) мы вместе сидели вечерами в саду за столиком ,беседовали ,она меня утешала и желала скорейшего мира моей стране.
Мира пока нет ,но я дома....страшно....но я молюсь о том чтобы мир наступил как можно быстрее !
И я смогла пить чай в своем маленьком саду без воя сирен и взрывов ракет...

Beautiful. I have many memories of my garden, a fire pit (little fire danger in our state) and the kids playing outback on a rope swing. My kids often pitched a tent to do their homeschooling in and we had a screened in porch that I spent many hours in. Those memories are something your children will cherish. My kids are all adults. I think it may have been the place we felt most like home in. Houses change, but wherever your family is becomes home. Enjoy the journey.

The house is lovely, especially with your decorating skills! I do want to also mention that if your landlord doesn’t allow you to make garden beds you could still grow some veggies in containers. I have a small garden but I do also have several veggies growing in pots and they’re doing great! 😊 Love your channel!
