Oh how I wish I has a cottage like yours. Just a small cottage with beautiful trees and other wonderful smelling plants and flowers around. A nice wood burning stove/oven, lot's of antique cookware and knick knacks, lacy curtains, and a little cat to keep me company. I''m tired of all the noise here and no privacy. I value my privacy, especially since my husband passed away. I just want to be alone, cook and clean and smell the fresh air. And LIVE with nature.

We used to get a lot of snow here when I was a kid, too. I'm in SE MO, US. We don't get much snow anymore - it's mostly ice for a few days a year. Climate change is really visible within that context. You have a lot of talents. It must've taken you a long time to learn many of them. I imagine you started at home when you were a kid learning how to cook, chop wood, forage, and even use power tools. What a blessing! Many of us take for granted the knowledge and skills we have, but I fret about the knowledge we've lost. I'm grateful to see that someone is out there with the old skills. Thanks for sharing!

We used to get a lot of snow here when I was a kid, too. I'm in SE MO, US. We don't get much snow anymore - it's mostly ice for a few days a year. Climate change is really visible within that context.
You have a lot of talents. It must've taken you a long time to learn many of them. I imagine you started at home when you were a kid learning how to cook, chop wood, forage, and even use power tools. What a blessing! Many of us take for granted the knowledge and skills we have, but I fret about the knowledge we've lost. I'm grateful to see that someone is out there with the old skills.
