  • Having previously made use of Zig units in older campervan conversions I'd heard good things about the Sargent EC-160 power control unit so thought I'd give it a go in this T5 conversion.
This is a short video doing an introduction to the unit as well as a few other things that don't quite fit into the other install videos regarding electrics.

Here are some suggested links to the equipment I purchased for this install:
I bought the EC-160 from a company on eBay but the following link is for a different company as they are no longer listing the item...

Hi. You mention you've done a separate video for installing a split charge relay but hasn't the EC160 already got a split charge relay built in? Specs I've seen say it has. Thinking of buying one so want to be sure what I'm getting.

Hi Mate, do you have your battery up front, if so what mm cable did you run from the 160 to the leisure battery?

Sadly I decided to stop half way through as I'm getting a pop-top roof fitted in early Sept 2017. I need to remove all my interior units so pointless wiring it in to have to undo it all again and refit later. Will be aiming for another flurry of videos following the roof install and hoping to finish the lot by end of October/November

Hi mate. Great video 👍 did you stick to the split relay kit in the end or wire in to the EC160 instead? Any feedback is great 👌🏼

I wired both in, but used the Durite split relay for charge rather than the EC160. ‘‘Tis wasn’t by design, it was just I didn’t install it all at same time. If I was to do this build again I would just use the EC160

Sorry last question 😂 when u get a spare 5 minutes, but my split relay is already fitted, do u still need to run a cable from Vehicle battery aswell as the Leisure battery?? 👍
