However, New York City is a massive city and there’s pop up shops, interactive exhibits, quaint towns, hidden events that are always happening here. That’s why tik toks, IG accts etc exist to guide New Yorkers on new fun things to do. Judging by your comment, you’re clearly not a New Yorker. But if you lived here, you’d understand that it helps to have guides because you can live your entire life here and still miss out on all the city has to offer because of how much there is to do. Do some research and let me know if you think you can explore all that there is in NYC in your lifetime.

I love watching you do things on your own (day trips, exploring the city, even just living on your own). Being that independent gives me anxiety, I tend to ALWAYS do things with someone else. I find it really encouraging watching you successfully do things on your own, while also enjoying yourself so much!!! Please make the solo day trips a series, I’m loving it!❤️
trust me, it gives me anxiety to do it too. 10/10 times before I'm about to embark on a solo journey, I sit and freak out about it the day before & wonder if I should even do it. BUT I learn something new every time & do it, have fun, and gain confidence (!!!) so I'm trying to keep doing it :)

you should definitely do that as like a once a month thing. I live in Ohio and I'm like not even an hour away from lake Erie. sometimes my friend and I will go up there and spend some time there. definitely one of our favorite spots

Loved that you took a day trip by yourself. I’m single and often travel alone. I never considered a day trip to the Hampton so fully enjoyed traveling with you. Beacon and Newburgh NY are excellent day trips. Please keep doing these segments!

I have family that lives in South Hampton and I love visiting and going to the beaches there, its so beautiful! My grandma LOVES pointing out that Coopers beach was voted one of the top 5 beaches in the US! If you return to the Hamptons I'd highly recommend visiting Sag Harbor, it is one of my favorite towns and absolutely gorgeous. Sagtown Coffee on Main St. is super cute and has great coffee. The Hampton Jitney is also a bus service that goes between NYC and the Hamptons that you could try checking out, I think its a little more expensive than the LIRR but also a bit quicker travel times.

Love a good day trip 😊 This one was a real treat but yes, they can definitely be done more cheaply! There are so many options for travel and food to match whatever budget you have. Maybe you could look into local buses/bike or car hire rather than ubers for future trips. I used to live in Southampton, UK....just a tad different to that one! 😁
Definitely take more day trips. I hear you can take a ferry to Camp May, New Jersey. Also, if you haven’t been take the train to the last stops out in Brooklyn, near the beach.

You should definitely go to DC! I’ve done this as a day trip and was awesome. I managed to see everything I wanted in a day and had so much fun. And flight wise it’s just an 1h-ish to Pittsburgh which is the cutest city ever! But maybe you should spend the weekend there! Cus is just so worthy!
As someone who can't see to drive, I find it very inspiring that you could catch the train to the Hamptons. Didn't realize that was an option, but I love NYC and I'll bookmark this video for future reference.
If you like hiking you should take the metro north up to Cold Spring! Only about an hour on the train, the town there is so cute and the hikes are great!!!
