      shay deluca Melo ain't the only reason. *Sniff sniff* I smell another first round exit. Dennis Shroeda is their back up PG and Westbrook still making bad decisions on the court and dominating the ball too much and not efficient. And they also aren't being coached well so in a series they come with talent but they can be out coached.

    Russ said, "Whatchu mean?" lol... You have to admire his abrasiveness with the media. Reporters can be overly bold and cunning with thier questions sometimes. It's obvious he only has a few close "friends", yet they're probably all genuine friendships. I couldn't even imagine Russ in Corporate America, a world that's built on nonsense and deception. Most people wouldn't even know how to react to him.

    Lebron and Adam silver have changed the league from coaching systems to player systems. Structure has been removed to increase scoring and increase player stats for better advertising and marketability.
    I remember knowing the head coach of nearly every NBA team and now I can’t name anyone.
    Players have been empowered and they’re running with it. Good for them.

  • @Fantastic824
    @Fantastic824 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    1000% correct on every observation sir. The best thing to happen to OKC was Westbrick's time off for injury that allowed Schroder to settle in, establish, & prove his ability on that team. I haven't watched too many games with OKC but their not fully bought in to the Russ at the SG scheme. Which is exactly the best formula for them winning. To Russ' credit though he, unlike A.I., has learned earlier that he can't do it by himself. Russ has to understand that he's proven & achieved all the individual accolades & he's already HOF guaranteed. Until he moves to the 2 full time & leaves the decision making to a true PG OKC isn't a threat for a championship.
    A.I. was his own worst enemy on so many levels despite his greatness. He's was a bigger personality & cultural icon in NBA history than he was as a player. Westbrook is the main person he was talking about in his recent interview concerning fashion & dress code too lol. "It's Halloween every night..." llh.

    Since KD has left I’ve always said that OKC will never get past the second round if Westbrook is leading that team. I think talent wise he maybe can eventually get a series win under his belt but he most certainly won’t make it past the second round.

    Westbrook like Iverson has 0 basketball I.Q. but Iverson was more outgoing when it came to his inability to be coached yet he wanted to be coached more than Westbrook. Seems like Westbrook knows everything; Scott Brooks and now Donovan can tell him nothing so I think Westbrook is more hard-headed than Iverson when it comes to accepting coaching while Iverson just had Larry Brown to get on his nerves combined with a bunch of bad head coaches in Philly. Iverson was easy to coach because all you had to get him to do was basic stuff; Westbrook is harder to coach because you cannot get him to do basic things like share or get the rock to the right people unless there's an assist in it for him or to just recognize what's around him; Iverson had a better view of what was going on on the floor.

      @@t-god2439 See Westbrook seems like the type of guy, once he realizes he's in a business that's about 'self', then he's all about himself...because the NBA is individual; guys are about their money, status, and keeping up that money so there's no real room for 'team' or real quality basketball..each guy has to prove himself to stay in the league and if you aren't in control with these franchises then they get rid of you... so it's a 'self' business...so no way a guy is going to listen to coaches at this level, especially when it's all politics; Westbrook (like Iverson) knows this and just goes for his, title or not.... Westbrook would have been a great tennis player.
