Paint tool SAI is actually pretty good, plus I don't like to use the same exact style as the actual ponies using your own style is way more creative then actually copying the original style

For you my friend I would recommend you look up normal speed tutorials, there's plenty to stumble upon all across youtube for all sorts of art styles! You'd be surprised what you can do! :D
I love how there is this moment at the very beginning when you sketch out the really rough outline of a pony and it's like 'I could do that'. And then very quickly something happens and I realize that without years of practice I could never do that, since I lack any proclivity for artistic ability.
This looks so much like the picture in the one episode when twilight nearly lost her friends and was depressed but then she gained her strength and turned back to normal and saved her friends
