Can't explain it other than every note she sings has so much warmth and feeling that it draws you in.No other singer can do that to me.I have alot of other singers to listen to but after 2-3 hours I'm done and do not want to hear them sing for the rest of the day.For over 50 years I can listen to her the entire day.Karen was, is and will always be extra special talent and person.

Karen was always so natural at everything she did. Especially just speaking, she is so likable, sweet, genuine, intelligent and just a joy. Richard sometimes sounded so rehearsed, sometimes on the arrogant side. Even during the concerts, whenever Karen would introduced a song,or speaking at the close, she always sounded so genuine and happy and thankful to all her fans. What a loss for all of us .........
There is no doubt that Karen was the best female vocalist the planet has ever been blessed with. One issue that confuses people is why she starved herself to death - it is because (IMO) the entertainment world is totally unlike the 'real, everyday' world. It has its own nuances, ups and downs and it is easy to 'lose' knowing who you are as a person because there are tons of people around you that literally control your life and yet you are on a pedestal with every action analyzed. You literally live in a bubble. So it's hard to find 'real' love plus you carry family dynamics that are imprinted in your mind for life. Thank you Karen for your lovely voice and personality, but now you are free dear - just know that millions still love you until...well, eternity.
Just loving hearing her voice...You can't be bored hearing her speaking voice..I loved all about KC..I fell in love with her for so many years..and until now,she is my lady...Love you KC.I'm dying for you..I am not a boy,but i really want you to be my wife.A little bit tomboy just for you.
It chilled me to the bone when she made that remark, "If we didn't have a hit by the time I was 20, I'd have to kill myself!" It's eerie to hear someone who died so tragically make joking comments about killing themselves. I hope nobody takes this comment the wrong way; I'm a huge fan of Karen and I don't mean her any disrespect.

Amazing to hear that more time went into the track "Calling Occupants" than into their magnificent third album - the tan album entitled "Carpenters". I feel they had lost the plot. I would have settled for another album of the quality of the tan album.
There were so many great musical influences in the 70's and I loved most of them until it came to disco, that was just nasty. Thankfully we got into the 80's with either hair metal or hard metal rock was on it's way to the stars. I was devastated the day I heard the news of Karen's death. That was such a shitty day.

If anyone has a tiny shred of suicidal thought despite their energy, splendid humor, dedication to other people's happiness, lifelong devotion to art and truth and humanism, so what? To perfectionists, life -- together with this shithole of a world that seems exactly like a pigsty or kindergarten where 99.9% of people really do think, feel, behave, and live like pigs or kindergarteners -- is nothing but a torture house with absolutely no way out.
