Yes there is. It's called the holy Bible. You chose to live deceived- to live in the world for what the world has to offer- certain death. But, to deny one's self, and take up faith in the word, and take up the cross is not only real wisdom, but the key to ever lasting life. But, you aren't here for righteousness- You are here to judge, to use, to take, to look, watch and feel- for pleasure and to sustain yourself- like most people- Which is why like the bible says "there are few who finds Him". Who is Him? Jesus. How do you know you have met the requirements? You will meet the holy spirit. He will come to you, supp with you and "guide you into all truth". Jesus said "I am the WAY, the TRUTH, and The LIFE" and "NO one may go unto God but by ME". For if you have Seen Jesus, you have Seen the Father"- And if you see the Father, you did so because Jesus sent you His Holy GHOST. That is the rebirth. That is real security. God bless.

I don't know why he's acting like the western nations are unknowing fools. NATO is already operating in this area. He also seems to get the evolution of it wrong, it obviously started with nation states, then carried over to organizations (NGOs, political parties, corporations, lobbying groups etc.) and later private individuals/ groups. He seems to ignore that Facebook itself was the dawn of this type of information warfare, started with the revolutions in the middle east and later Brexit being the first large scale test in Europe that was carried out by a political movement. His talk was vague and it felt very inaccurate.
Surprisingly sophomoric, especially from someone with such ostensible academic credentials. One is forced to wonder whether this whole thing is in itself an instance of cognitive warfare.
I think that the problems are both created by the instructions and the mindset they have endorsed. Lastely by voters not critically voting based on past performances. Why is it that in higher tops failure lands you the next prestigious job? Also institutions and policies have been known to cut corners, bow to large money and a host of other things. For ordinary people to believe institutions, they must experience it in real time on the ground. Years before the internet, institutions were already failing. They could get away with it. There should not be any complaints about us having no access to China, Iran etc. if you are confident and clearly know where you're going. Gatekeeping works both ways. You can control the narrative, but it will prevent you from knowing what really bothers your citizens. China's influence in Africa could only happen because of the narratives in Europe. It left the gap wide open. Sometimes, even when you're the strongest, being humble prevents you from making stupid decisions down the line. Again past performances are a good indicator of what to come. So, how do you explain to nationalist sentiments, that in a global community, certain policies are better in the long run. How to make them consider multiple generations? Could it be that the monetization of everything pitch everyone against everyone, breaking down the social structures. Why is national politics more important than local? Why is it disengaging, boring? Or shamefully the theater of clowns? How much more information do we need? Maybe less. Why do we want democracy, if we don't want to defend it. Maybe democracy is less about the I (narcissistic) and more about the we. Acknowledged the other always be a part of the whole. Our bodies can teach you that in real time. The most democratic system walking around. It has nothing to do with voting, all with a shared goal. The first rule. Staying alive.
Social engineering....who has divided the people ? ....its not hard to see those that have for thousands of years used their knowledge positions of influence to architectually shape and manipulate through creating events to divide this isnt rocket science nor hard to work out ..those we have been told to trust in have been the double edged sword ....people are not totally to blame however we all have to remember that love was given in our hearts to know what is of good and divisions were taught and told

@@DF-ss5ep Seriously, Jack, think this one through for a second: what, exactly, are you a citizen of, and what right are you defending? The only official body, government, or institution he speaks about is NATO. NATO has no citizens, it's a military alliance. There are partner nations, that's it. Other than that, he's probably Belgian? And not speaking to a Belgian audience or he'd use French. You're not a citizen of any shared government with him, nor is he speaking to any body or institution that has citizens... Or guarantees rights. And what right do you think under attack? Assuming you *were* a member of any shared polity with the guy, that is. Freedom of speech? Mentions nothing about it. Access to social media platforms? Mentions nothing about it, and not a right anywhere. Free press, assembly, religion? Legal representation or voting? Not under discussion. He's talking about the manipulation of social media platforms by adversary governments and corporations. How, exactly, does him saying TikTok is a negative influence translate to an assault on your rights? Do you own TikTok? Think about it. And then ask yourself why you're outraged, on whose behalf?
@@н.джед.т the speaker here starts off by proposing "we" collectively examine our 'need' to 'regulate'(meaning have some sort of policing body) what gets cleared as "true" and what is flagged as "false" or "fake". Facebook's so-called 'fact-checkers' are not themselves 'checked' for their qualifications to hold such a position of power in the first place. Who checks the fact-checkers?
@@serenedaoud First, the guy is speaking at "Science & Cocktails", a European group existing for the purpose of presenting lectures about science in a relaxed atmosphere over drinks. Not clear if he's speaking in Copenhagen or Brussels or where, a part of what lecture series, but it isn't to any government body or organization... much less one to which you owe any allegiance or interest. The only collective 'we' he can be confidently assumed to be referring to is the academic community, which is free-form and non-binding, but definitely speaks of 'regulating' itself in terms of community standards & ethical rules... Thus the replication crisis in the social sciences right now, a change in standards from previous. Since he mentions several times the problem that distinguished academics and celebrities have equal status online or even one weighted towards celebrities, that is VERY likely the collective 'we' he is referring to... The argument only suits that group, and that's the audience the Science & Cocktails brand is designed to influence. Store-brand TEDTalks, basically... The guy is Belgian, his native language is French. That means there exists a regulatory body with uniforms and significant power that determines what words are French and which aren't, what words can be used & how for him. They determine that "e-sports" can't be used, that it's actually "jeu video de competition". And that "streamer" is wrong, the only proper use is "joueur-animateur en direct". Now, personally, I don't particularly give a shit about that. My French isn't good enough that I have their official dictionary or follow their decisions... If I use French at all, folks are overjoyed if I'm comprehensible, generally, proper orthography is not the issue. But maybe you do care, and maybe he does... Now he isn't French, himself, so it's not LEGALLY binding, but if he wants to be recognized as properly sophisticated he'll hold to those standards. That would seem to be the kind of regulatory body he's arguing for... And I don't know why you'd care, personally. You need him to think you're properly sophisticated, do you? His argument here is that you *don't*, at the present time, that you in your collective 'you' don't care what he thinks or about his academic credentials... And he thinks that's a problem. Well, so? Second, you don't have any 'rights' on Facebook, or X, or TH-cam or TikTok or any other social media platform. They're not a government agency, they're not a public common, they aren't regulated on their own platform in any way shape or form. If, for example, the State of Montana decides they don't like how TikTok does moderation, they can forbid citizens & residents of Montana from accessing TikTok, but not require TikTok to do anything in particular. Same for Facebook. If a platform, call it Bwitter, has all kinds of fact-checking rules & standards but a new majority share-holder comes in, all those standards and rules can be thrown out the window & said shareholder can rebrand the platform Y if he wants ... Nothing stopping him. All we can do is stop using it, stop advertising it, and the value drop... We don't have any 'rights' to the previous state of community standards any more than we have 'rights' to the new one. It's 'Y', not 'Yours'. You have no more rights to demand a certain fact-checking standard or credentials than you have to demand CBS or Fox or for that matter BET maintain your preferred programming in a prime-time slot. Less, actually... If a broadcast company uses the airwaves, the FCC in the US and an unknown to me collection of standards and agencies determines internationally their legal authority to broadcast on those frequencies. You have more authority to get your preferred DJ to play your garage band's demo tape than you do to have Facebook meet your assumed standards for fact-checker credentials. At least there is a governmental & inter-govermental agency to regulate the radio station. If you don't like what Facebook does, you're free to create your own platform. Like, say, TruthSocial. Or Gab. Or patriot.win. Or a Mastodon or Discord instance, at the level that you or I can realistically accomplish. Up to you, Jack. That's... That's kind of his point, remember? He as an expert & credentialed academic with research & data has no more or even less influence on community standards than you do, if you as an internet persona have any particular group of folks that listen. He'd like folks to listen more to him than to you. But that choice is on you... Comment on his stuff? TH-cam's algorithm will grant him more reach & clout, will rate him higher & bring him to more eyeballs. His rights, and yours, to being heard are entirely based on how much engagement the algorithm decides is there. Me, I'm okay with his ideas, I like him talking, so I'm good with commenting more and longer, engaging with it... Tuning the algorithm in his direction. Are you? Because you are doing it, by making comments and inviting a discussion on the topic. Whether he has a 'right' to that attention or not. Thanks for your attentional support. Very sad to hear that you have adversaries. But no problem as you say, you have AI and USA is interfering with Chinese ability to make computer chips so I am sure you have this thing safe and secure, One actually has to wonder why does “west” need so many weapons with mind like yours. I would like to pick a bone or two with you at some time about “democracy”, perhaps how does inequality rise in it among other issues, but no rush, it can wait. That should give you some time to move from general ideas to actually demonstrating some examples of them. Meantime, no need to panic, in democracy surely you can access verifiable numbers and they might help with various narratives and determining who tells truth and who is vomiting propaganda. I must admit news that your adversaries may be getting better at propaganda and endangering “western” “democracies” which gave birth to such things is surprising. Not to worry, besides platforms which you mentioned, west is blocking attempts to lay “evil” Chinese fibre optic cables too. Have you considered sending few “nukelar” missiles to China? I hear they are best for spreading “democracy” and generally recommended for resolving intellectual disputes. Do not worry too much about AI, that is whole another religion, stick to neoliberal one.

But, to deny one's self, and take up faith in the word, and take up the cross is not only real wisdom, but the key to ever lasting life.
But, you aren't here for righteousness-
You are here to judge, to use, to take, to look, watch and feel- for pleasure and to sustain yourself- like most people-
Which is why like the bible says "there are few who finds Him".
Who is Him?
Jesus.
How do you know you have met the requirements?
You will meet the holy spirit.
He will come to you, supp with you and "guide you into all truth".
Jesus said "I am the WAY, the TRUTH, and The LIFE" and "NO one may go unto God but by ME".
For if you have Seen Jesus, you have Seen the Father"-
And if you see the Father, you did so because Jesus sent you His Holy GHOST.
That is the rebirth. That is real security.
God bless.

Religion and its dogma is responsible for far to many problems in this beautiful world of which there is only one and is owned by nobody but run by innocently ignorant professional liars who will I fear in the not too distant future bring more devastating events to humanity as a whole.

Over generalizations and equivalency of all sides are not good frameworks for a presentation. Yes, Facebook was a mistake.

This is just 5th Gen warfare stuff repackaged, why is he acting like he's discovered something profound or new?

Man... Based on the comments here, you struck a nerve. If trolls are this upset about the concept, and so many willing to spend an hour hearing you out on the subject... I suspect there might be something to it. Suppose I'll have to watch the whole thing myself now...
We are not trolls, we are citizens defending our rights.
@@DF-ss5ep Good job defending your right to build content, advertising revenue, and outrage on behalf of the world's second (?) richest man against the attacks of a no-name Belgian academic giving a store-brand TEDtalk. Your community thanks you.
Like and subscribe for more content!
172 biases? Why not 211 biases? Why not 113 biases? Looks like annother BS science? Humans are complex. Everybody has different biases. So its a BS science which sounds more convincing with Belgian accent)))
By leading off with normie talking points about fake news and conspiracy theories you really weaken your credibility to speak about these issues. It is hard to take seriously anything that follows.

Cognitive warfare is not a new thing. Thinking it is new just sets you back by several thousand years. Please just take a closer look at the last 3000 years of of European history. Cognitive warfare = Harts and minds, just faster. I'm hoping I don't need to explain the difference between method and tools...
This video trigger so much cognitive warfare bots. The comments are so hilarious. Great presentation by the way, it really explains why people are more stupid than ever.
Some potentially interesting insights, though hardly a balanced account - and rendered unlistenable by the presentation style... 😖
I’m glad he said within 10 minutes Twitter wasn’t a problem until Musk bought it. What?!? Glad he saved me another 45 mins of not watching the rest.
I don't feel like what the presenter is talking about is very groundbreaking information? It presents information like "facebook is a marketplace for ideology" as if that is foreign and exclusive to such platforms. Propaganda is not exclusive to states, and social media is not the first medium of it either.
5th Generation Warfare
This is embarrassing.
If you use twitter, facebook or tiktok as a source of information, then no wonder you are so easily manipulated. One might find there a tiny fraction of some valuable stuff, but that would be like a drop in the ocean - just not worth wasting one's time and energy.

@@filrabat1965 hi there. Your first example is just someone's subjective opinion.
