@@computer_dude I think that could put too much pressure on the player and not think things through properly, thus messing up, also, akane is doing all of the work, so if it's a repeat playthrough, she'd know what to do, making a time limit useless
well if you just so happen to have a copy of AI: Somnium Files - nirvanA Initiative, you can unlock a version of the very first escape room of 999 to play with a pseudo timelimit, provided you unlocked the secret ending. the game itself along with the first game are great if you loved the zero escape games.

Am I the only one who felt that first puzzle was an absolute bitch? never mind edit it's been a month since I first started this game and I've only just now found out there were 2 pieces of code paper I'm actually a dumbass.
I FELT THAT When I first started the game I had to complain how I couldn't get past the first puzzle to the friend that introduced me to the game and he was just like "oh did you find the two pieces of paper" and I was like "THERE'S TWO??"
Same thing happened to me. Long story short, when I first played this game i never knew there was a second piece of paper behind the pillow and thought the first escape room was the hardest.
@@dredge-yg9cu Haha, it's not that I necessarily dislike the DS version, it's just that the DS version doesn't have an option to jump to whatever section you want in the game, so basically everytime you want to get another ending you have to start over from the beginning. So we had to do the first 'escape room' so many times over and over, to the point that we honestly got sick of it - i think i could still redo it right now, i've memorized the codes by heart even though i haven't played the game in so long x)
The wailing sounds and the creepy tones are shifted, it's not the same as before, and it's more chaotic. But it also feels like a fan's bad attempt at a remix.
