STORY TIME : I live in PANAMA CITY BEACH BARRY KERCH CAME TO VISIT HIS MOTHER WHO BRINGS HER DOGS TO THE VET I WORKED AT . SHE HAD HIM COME IN WITH HER TO THE VISIT AND ME AND MY COWORKER ABOUT PEED OUR PANTS AND HE TOOK A PIC W US AND GAVE US BOTH SIGNED DRUMSTICKS!!! He’s super laid back and humble and cool and HAWT!!!
Brent Smith's voice was amazing to start with but it seems to have gotten better with time. One of the best live vocals I've heard.
My goodness he sounds just like he did on the track, they all ROCKED my gosh I want to cry right now, I love Shinedown

I’ve Sean shinedown live they actually sang the song but in this one they wer lip sinking in the 45 video he had the mic to far away from his mouth

It's because it is the recorded version playing over the concert. Proof is at 3:11. He stopped singing, but the audio had him sustained for an extra second.

I love how people think Brent lip syncs because of this video. No, he doesn't, he sings live and he sings bloody amazing live (yes I've seen them live, I'm not just going by videos) it's just the way this video was put together.
Ive seen it before but the way Zach looks at Brent on the lines "If you only knew how i refuse to let you go even when your gone" gives me chills every time. Zach is basically screaming at him "im not going anywhere and we are not going to leave you. We will help you through anything".
And what a beautiful smile Brent has...LOVE this song !!
Coming from a guy who watched the Beatles debut on the Ed Sullivan show, I've listened to a lot of bands. Most need at least two guitars to fill sound and even then, they don't always sound good. I'm really amazed by Shinedown's song crafting. It's some of the best I've ever heard from a three piece band. I hope they have a long career.

@@escapemac I concede that point. Still, I find them highly creative songwriters. The Beatles also used orchestration but we don't think of them beyond the Fab Four behind their instruments.
Brent smith gives his sweat his effort, he puts his heart on every single concert he make. much respect for Shinedown and all of its band members

I just saw Shinedown November 17th, and they're one of the best live bands I've ever seen. They sound like studio live. no lip syncing there.
Recently I was lucky enough to see Shinedown live and they were freaking amazing. I loved every second of it. All the memories that some of their music was attached to made me smile so much. Before the concert, I hadn't been to one in 7 years and I don't think I could've picked a better one to go to.

There's no way he hit every single note on this song exactly the way they are in the studio version. He was probably singing live but they're playing the studio version for the DVD or however this concert was distributed
If you've ever seen him sing this song live before or after this its never perfect like this
This is the studio version over the live version which is why it sounds exactly the same. Go to 03:10 - it's pretty obvious there.
Don't get me wrong, Brent is a very talented singer but unfortunately this video does not show the live vocals.

Okay here's a couple of things that I have noticed because my ear is tuned into this
1. I know for a fact that Brent can sing beautifully live because I've actually seen a Shinedown concert and I've seen them live and his voice, completely raw, is amazing!
2. Brent is really singing at this shoe, but this concert was filmed and edited with the album track over his voice and it completely shadows his raw talent, which is very disappointing.
3. I can tell the difference in his voice from The Sound of Madness days compared to his voice now on the ATTENTION ATTENTION record. I can't even tell the difference in his voice from The Sound of Madness days and the Amaryllis days. There is a complete difference.
It does suck the editor played the track over it 😭

Yes, this is not truly 'live'. He is not lip syncing, they simple took the footage and probably put a session over it due to sometimes audio just doesn't come out great recording live.
I have seen them twice, he is THAT good live, see for yourself. They go hard, great show, great singer, awesome band.
