- We have several farmers who want us to thin out the deer herd and save their crops for next years so we are happy to help them out. Today, we were sitting in my Matrix 360 blind on the south side of a bean field with a southwest wind at eight mph. Since Steve has been sentenced to a seven day trip to his in-laws, I let him have the first two doe shots. As you will see, he does a spectacular job of two shot, two does.
Steve is using a wild camo Ruger American 450 Bushmaster with Bronze finish and a Vortex scope and Remington 260 accu-tip ammo.
For those lawyers out there who wonder why we are shooting does during muzzleloader season, we are in a CWD zone which allows rifles during this season.
Enjoy!!
This was terrific!! Two good ol' Michigan fellas out deer hunting!! My long-time buddy and I hunt in Mason, Michigan on his 10 acres and have done so for about the past 30 or so years!! Congrats guys and many happy hunts to you both!
Your excitement is contagious. Great shots and good video
That 450 a beast!! It went through the branch and dropped her !
12:50 he says Rem 260. Look at the vid again, the round struck above and to the right of the branch
Great job…I just got my first 450 this weekend…looking forward to testing it out…
We have both purchased silencerco 46 suppressors for our rifles. They make a world of difference.
@@57dewey Nice!
A slab of beer, maybe a quick snooze before the action happens.
Well done
Congratulations
That 450 don’t play! Dropped them does in their tracks! Gotta love those 3ft tracking jobs. Great video and thanks for providing ranges on the shots
I just bought one last friday it hits stuff so damned hard. I was shoot a steel plate and that rifle rings that thing like nothing else.
@@Kayceesoutdoorliving nice man I bought one last Saturday a beautiful bergareeh(not sure if I spelt that right)has the heavy barrel.it was a lil pricey but it’s absolutely beautiful
Zapped a nice doe about 70 yards away. The 450 bushmaster in my AR dropped her like nothing.
LOL they say nock down power doesn’t exist yet it nocked her off her feet. Great hunt guys.
It's knock down!! 😊🤣😳 Nock is a archery tip on a arrow or crossbow bolt
The cool guys in high school 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
Doesn't get any better than that!
Awesome hunt! Congratulations guys
You guys remind me of the McKensie Brothers. Da bears
Nice !!!
Congratulations on your harvest
Are you guys stoned😂😂😂 that was the funniest hunting vid I’ve watched😂
Good shooting there thank guys
What is some advice for a new hunter this year from Kalamazoo area
@@nakedfreak1 get out now and search for deer trails while the snow is still here, knock on doors and try to get permission to hunt now rather than september, be very nice to land owners and try to help them as much as possible. many of them are older and you can make their lives easier.
When you want a doe there is always plenty of bucks just blundering around
Good job guys i got all my tags filled this year I can’t find those Remington rounds but I loved them for 12 gauge last year
Midway usa target sports usa cheaper than dirt buds gun shop. Try any of those websites. I think they all sell the accu tip
Here I am searching YT videos about the Ruger American Ranch and wouldn’t ya know it someone from not only my state but my own county.
What ammo did you use ?
i handload hornady 250 sst bullets
I use the 250 grain Hornady bullets and handload them to factory velocity‘s. I just purchase 50 rounds from Bear creek ballistics in Battle Creek Michigan. They are a 240 grain solid copper cnc bullet with great precision. We’re gonna try those this year. We are both using bolt action rifles so they are very flexible for ammunition.
"I'm not really sure how many deer we've killed in the legal firearm season..." lol is there an illegal season?
Ssssshhhhhhhh. I noticed that too
The bullet on the second one punched thru a tree limb
What? The vid says 450 Bushmaster, 12:50 he says Rem 260 Accutip.
These things are not the same.
Correct, Remington makes a 260 green Acura tip bullet. That is what we were hunting with on this particular day. They don’t shoot nearly as good as the Hornady bullets but they’re not bad either.
Remington makes a 260 grain Accu tip bullet. It is basically a hollow point with a green clear plastic pointed tip on it. That was the ammunition we were using on that day. Anyway, that was the ammo that Steve was using. I hand load all my own stuff.
Could you have dragged out the video any longer.good Grief no need boys'
I design these videos for my friends to watch and you are just a visitor. no one says you have to watch them. So sorry to disappoint
But good video
You said in the legal hunting season does that mean you shoot them also in the illegal season?
I just caught that and thought it was funny so I figured I’d say it but good shots keep it up
Bradley Hertel I heard that too. Very confusing
These two clowns are morons
We follow all laws and watch our shooting hours. he was concerned for nothing since we were well within time frame. We can hunt 1/2 hour after sunset here and by then, it really is too dark to hunt or even see anything.
Feel free to stay off my emails. we make them mostly for us and you can enjoy them if you want. I have no idea why you would call us names. We are both experts with firearms and have an impeccable record of recovery.
For gods sake , so much time just whispering. If your gonna shoot then do it. Don’t waste film
once you pull the trigger you cannot take it back. take a look at the swamp of autumn olive bushes we are next to and image tracking a deer for a mile in it. better to plan and execute the shot that to screw it up. as you can see, no tracking necessary. i am only guessing you do not hunt deer?
