I decided to come back to you after 6 years. I was still a child when i first started origami and you were the first person i learnt from. Glad to be back now! Can’t believe ur still making such great videos
IKEAn't say "IKEA" in the video but I CAN say it here in the video comments! Thank you, IKEA, for showing me that awesome cardboard box lock, which I was able to apply to form this origami model. I still can't stand the rat mazes you make customers walk through just to buy anything at your store, but, as an origamist, I do enjoy your clever assembling methods and clear instructions!
Hey again. Ive made some more “Spring Into Action” and i always put Them under something heavy. The problem is, that when i click the spring, it doesnt really get back in alot and i dont know why
You could try folding out of stiffer paper. Also, it's important to avoid making any extra creases on the locking mechanisms. Another tip is to make sure that the two flaps that slide together are tightly together, because if they slide apart, the locking mechanism won't work. Oh, another thing, make sure to make to make sharp creases, especially on the two hinges of the flaps that lock. You want those two flaps to be able to easily come together instead of having to apply force in order for them to come together.
Wow the box comes out to be really good. Whenever Jeremy dops a new video I always remember the gold days when it was all about doing origami for hours and having fun 😄😄
Well, I looked at the creases on the cardboard box and a noticed the slight difference of the angles between the creases. I also noticed that in order to work the box had to be closed on top, and I knew how to wrap two corners around so that they lock on top.
I like the model and the mechanism, but im gonna try to modify a little bit the model so that the snap shut part its a little bit more stronger. Anyway, nice job jeremy😊
Thank you. I think the key to a stronger snap shut mechanism is to use stiffer paper like card stock. Or try blintzing the paper first which will make it thicker and therefore perhaps snap shut better.
I have an idea for your next video. I recently just folded you creeper and i hade the idea that you could do more Minecraft models, oh by the way, im 12 years old

Billy in a box!
2:53 the real box starts here
Well... You kind of do need the precreases to make the box!

Interesting 🤔. Damn that flower looks pretty.

U know today was a good day when Jeremy the goat releases another banger
It looks like it’s being locked in place by magnets, that is crazy
Ya, that's the effect it reminded me of too.

You have to put it under something REALLY heavy and store it there at least overnight. Something as heavy as a refrigerator is good.
Jeremy, your origami models are always something so incredible always coming up with new things!❤️
An incredible box. Novel. Fabulous!
How do I make it stronger, mine has a side that never closes. I keep trying but it always happens

Bro big fan I'm watching you since 7 years (when I was 4) you will never die bro ❤❤❤
woah this is cool! i like it
How did you figure out to implement that mechanism?
Well, I looked at the creases on the cardboard box and a noticed the slight difference of the angles between the creases. I also noticed that in order to work the box had to be closed on top, and I knew how to wrap two corners around so that they lock on top.
@jeremyshaferorigami Wow, that sounds great. You have been a wonderful help to me in learning origami!

How are you folding the paper so perfectly
Hi Jeremy, what kind of paper are you using here? X
Origami paper. Daiso brand.
@jeremyshaferorigami My paper is not working. I used origami double sided paper from Daiso Japan.
Only you, Jeremy, could design a model so neat and smooth, yet make it so simple to fold. Great job 👍
Happy day Jeremy!
u are my childhood 😢
