I have something similar over my fireplace but a much larger size. I purchased my piece for $25 when I saw the same piece online for a hundred and something. I was getting ready to do a DIY before I found my discount piece. But I love the way this looks thank you so much for posting this DIY because I thought about doing a similar art piece for the guest room. Wonderful inspiration on your Channel

Love, love this quilt square. I saw that the miter saw base was moving when you were using it. I had the same problem with mine. So I secured it to my workspace with two screws, makes sawing much easier. I think I’m going to try making a quilt square in red and white. Thank you for the inspiration Robin. Have a blessed weekend.

Yes that saw was moving around but to be expected since I had it on top of canvas drop cloth, LOL. I hope you have fun making your own, one in red and white would be beautiful. Personally I can't believe I have not made on with the combo yet since it is my all time favorite duo.

This is so cute! I want to make a bigger one for my wall! I like how you distressed it too.

I love it too. on camera it looks like a went to town distressing it but in real life the distressing is much more subtle.

Great tutorial Robin. Have you tried string art? It would be beautiful in a quilt design as well.

I have not tried string art. But it sounds like something that I'd like.
