Hi Robin As much as I absolutely loved the pink floral look , one of my favorote combinations is bkue and white. Ypu have beautiful pieces. We must be sisters with a different mister😂. I love to put art work like that out. I decorate for Valentines Day, Spring, Summer, Fourth of July, Fall , Christmas ...ypu name it I got decor for. My friends say too much work, but I think people like you, me and lots of subscribers enjoy it. I think i told you most of my thrifting comrs from estate sales. The prices are so good around here because , unfortunately, Huntington has, older people passing away or older people moving to Florida. One of the comments said the blue and white looks cool now that the temps are so high...s p agree ..supposed to be one hundred tomorrow. I would like,to have a maxi dress with a white background and blue floral. Thanks Robin...love "seeing" you do your amazing makeovers. I may just have tp be a copy cat. I have, the Blue Willow and some beautiful blue and white plates made in Spain. Have a wonderfup rest of the week ❤.
I think you maybe right, I love changing things up and it is not a chore at all for me to dig out new thrifted stuff to decorate with. Now putting away all the old stuff is never fun for me but I get around to it eventually 😅
The flowers are called alstroemeria and they last a really long time keep changing the water every couple days and cutting the ends you’ll be very pleased with them. Everything looks so beautiful as always!!!
It is lovely how you incorporate artwork into your decor. In the past year my health has improved (recovery from knee surgery) so I have had the strength to renew my thrift store hobby/obsession. It has been fun to add to my decor and make some changes as my style has evolved. I think I will start looking for small artwork pieces like you have. Something a little different from my dishes, books, and houseplants. Thanks for another lovely video.
Hello there!!!! So glad you enjoyed the video. All is well here it is just really hot and humid even the fur babies don't really want to go outside and when they are out they just stare at me with a bewildered look on their faces😊
Good evening Robin! Love the blue and white look in your hutch! With all this hot heat, it is quite cooling to look at! The wood box and basket adds texture and warmth. The ivory handle cutlery is so vintage looking sitting casually in the dish. I have some of the Ball glass jars and you’ve inspired me with yours in the divided wooden box! Thank you! Hurry back! 💕
I am striving for a video each Thursday through the summer it is about all I can manage with all the craziness going on around there. Thanks so much for watching so glad you enjoyed the video
Hi Robin😊. You have such a lovely collection of blue and white! I am stealing your wood box and basket with the flowers idea -- I love them styled with the blue and white, l love the clock too, I'm still on the lookout for one. Thanks for sharing Robin❤️😊
You definitely have an eye for pulling things together! Just lovely - and the flowers are alstroemeria; they'll last up to 2 weeks if you change the water.
Oh my goodness now your giving me ideas, I have the corner hutch that I could but a few of my red and white items in on the opossite side of the room! Thanks😊
Oh thank you! The flowers are so pretty and it was really bothering me that I could not figure out their name. Google lens was giving me some really weird answers lol So glad you enjoyed the video, I always have so much fun creating new looks to share
I love your switch up for the seasons. I wish I had places to rotate my collections. I hope your summer is going smooth and comfortable and that you are as content as you sound, lol.
I am very much enjoying lots of downtime this summer. I guess that is the upside of dealing with medical problems, makes you slow down and enjoy the little things. So glad you enjoyed the video and thanks so watching
@@RobinJohnsonDecor I've missed a lot of your posts due to travel and medical issues. Seems to be the year for doctoring. So many friends and family are experiencing it too. 2023 is a rough year so far. I hope you are recovering well. I am 10 weeks post operation and doing great. Take care
Glad to hear your surgery went well, I also had surgery not to long ago in mid may, so we are probably in the same boat , impatiently waiting for the healing process to be done lol😊
The fresh flowers are alstroemeria lilies. As long as you change the water daily and cut the stems on the diagonal every other day, they should last quite a while - they’re pretty hardy. Also, you can add a tiny splash of lemon-lime soda to the water when you change it. They like that - in fact, most cut flowers do.
@@RobinJohnsonDecor *Yes, I, too, have been using (cheap) lemon-lime soda in flowers 💐 FOR YEARS! Be sure you buy the kind WITH SUGAR - they use it like flower food, and the citric acid helps keep the flowers fresher longer. You only need about 1/4th of a cup in a LARGE vase of water. I buy a 16 oz. bottle of soda to use. It doesn't matter if the soda goes flat, LOL❣️😉 Alstroemeria can last as long as 2 WEEKS if you use lemon-lime soda, change the water every 2 days and cut ✂️ a smidgen off the bottom of the stems at an angle each time you change the water - but cut the stem and IMMEDIATELY PUT IT IN THE WATER so air bubbles don't travel up the stem while it lays on the counter (cutting them all and THEN putting them into water is not good) because the water absorbed up the stem will be much reduced. 😔*
@@lesliejackson8188 Cutting the stems in a sink with a couple of inches of water in it solves the problem of air getting into the stems and blocking absorption. Just hold the bottom of the stem underwater while trimming it, and then immediately putting it into a vase of fresh water with lemon-lime soda works wonders to extend the life of the blooms. So does making sure that there are no leaves in the water in the vase. Leaves in the water tend to rot quickly, and the bacteria kills the blooms. Leaves that are 100% above the water are okay to leave on the stems.
@@delmorrow896 *Good point - at home I hadn't thought of putting water in the sink and cutting under water - THANKS‼️ I did know about not having any leaves under water, as I learned from a florist....but there is no kitchen sink at the counter of a floral shop when you are cutting flower/greenery stems, LOL❣️🥰🤣*
