One question: 4:43
So last position person is the first to draw an upgrade card - understood. But why, at the end, this person gets to exchange an Upgrade card with a remaining one from the leftovers. Whats the benefit?
Or, is it just unnecessary in the first draft, but better in the following races, because this player can adjust and discard a upgrade card that might have been better in a previous race track?
Otherwise, am I stuck with the upgrade cards I chose in the previous races?
Hi Oliver, my understanding is that it is unnecessary in the first draft, but allows a player to essentially fix a potential mistake that cost them the previous race perhaps in the upgrades they chose to draft previously. This would also be useful if the cards available to draft previously were also all worse than the current leftover options
Retooling the upgrades is another kind of catch-up mechanic the game has included. And whoever is in last after the first race can definitely use that help
Otherwise, yes you are stuck with previously selected upgrade cards
