ஏற்காடு என்பது தமிழ்நாட்டின் சேலம் மாவட்டத்தில் அமைந்துள்ள கோடை வாழிட நகராகும். இது கிழக்குத் தொடர்ச்சி மலைத்தொடரில் உள்ள சேர்வராயன் மலையில் அமைந்துள்ளது. ஏற்காடு கடல் மட்டத்திலிருந்து 5326 அடி (1623மீட்டர்) சேலத்திலிருந்து 36 கிலோ மீட்டர்
உயரத்தில் உள்ளது. இதை
ஏழைகளின் ஊட்டி என்றும் அழைப்பார்கள். ஏரிக் காடு என்பதே
ஏற்காடு என்று மருவி விட்டது. இது
தொலைவில் அமைந்துள்ளது.
சேலத்திலிருந்து ஏற்காடு செல்லும் மலைப்பாதையில் 20 கொண்டை ஊசி
வளைவுகள் உள்ளன.
