1999 Honda CR-V auto trans 175k miles No need to drain the fluid. Very little fluid will drip out, at least in my case. Have a drain pan ready just in case. Part 1 Video: th-cam.com/video/51JUJXANop0/w-d-xo.html Amazon Auto Parts Link: amzn.to/3LjtJPy
Awesome.. My 2001 Accord is losing transmission fluid and this definitely helps.. I can at least start right here to see if that's the problem.. Thank God.. 🙌🧡
Thanks for the video! Helped a lot!! Here a Honda dealer asked R$160,00 for that seal and 15 days to deliver. The 12x22x7 dimensions are the exact same as the crankshaft seal of a Stihl brush cutter, costing R$18,00 and in stock. It looks more robust and also seems to be made with FKM/Viton. Works flawlessly and I can still say that I always use genuine parts, even if it's genuine from another brand...
My 99 accord is losing fluid figured was my cv axle seal but notice my shift cable was always wet! Praying this is the fix!! Thanks for the vid my guy 🤙
Absolutely fantastic video, you brought us along every step of the way and even explained differences in aftermarket seals I never would-ve thought to look for. Thanks a ton!
@@jonstuff Pulled the cover last night, cleaned the area, waiting a few mins and wham bam thank you man! it was leaking from the seal and now I know what to do!!
I drive an 04 Odyssey with V-tec v6. . . yesterday, (Merry Xmas to ME, ha? lol) I discovered a puddle of atf where i'd parked.. Probably what happened is I parked in another spot, and then decided to move it -but forgot to disengage the parking brake, just powered it over there, I think it maybe blew that seal? been teens cold, so it probably turned hard and blew. . . lol.. gutter. Only thing I can do is get under there and check, huh? thanks for your video!
Help sir..crv gen 1 (automatic) when i shift in d4 doesn't go right, I have to go back to park and then change the shift to d4 again. it doesn't go in the right place.. but sometimes it goes right when I shift. do I need to. change the. shift cable? or do I just need to tighten something under the steering wheel
I changed my shift seal on my 95 Del Sol but it's still leaking! Actually my friend did it. He worked in an auto body shop for 15 years and has been working on cars ever since. It's a simple job. Any thoughts on why it's still leaking and what to do? Thanks!
@@jonstuffis there anyway you can provide the honda part number if possible? I have a 2004 honda accord v6 and i know for sure this is the leak i have been chasing for 8months.

Very well made video. My trans is leaking, hoping this is the problem.
Nicely done! My kid's 2010 CR-V just leaked out most of the fluid so I'm hope it's an easy fix like this!! Thanks!
Thanks for the vid and perfect timing. I’m gonna pull the cover off hoping that this is my issue as well...1997 CRV with 210000

Was under an 01 Accord I just bought and mine has a leak in same place. Hoping it’s the same seal. Thank you for sharing
Yes, seems like a common Honda issue.
Hello,
Is it necessary to put it in neutral?

No tranmission fluid came out when you removed the seal?
Just a few drips, I had a pan ready.
Whats the name of the seal. I have some leaking issue now on my 2008 honda stream
I think I HV the same problem. Thx for the video. I hope I can replace that seal.🤞🏾

Actually my friend did it. He worked in an auto body shop for 15 years
and has been working on cars ever since. It's a simple job.
Any thoughts on why it's still leaking and what to do?
Thanks!
Might be a rear main seal. I'm doing this seal to check if it helps with the leaks
Would this be a slow leak, or if it all leaks
Its a very slow leak.
However, if left overnight, you'll see a small puddle under your transmission
I would say a slow leak. Mine just developed and just started dripping a few drops on the ground.
@@jonstuffis there anyway you can provide the honda part number if possible? I have a 2004 honda accord v6 and i know for sure this is the leak i have been chasing for 8months.
What is the size of the seal?
Great video. My 91 Civic is leaking as well. Do you think that the ATP brand will fit in 1991 Civic?
Not sure
I am almost positive this is where my 04 accord leaks from. I have been looking at this area not knowing where it came from
Hello, please where I can find the shift shaft for Honda civic 2014 lx, because my transmission leaking, but I didn’t find it
Try to find the shift cable. I'm not sure if that car is cable shift though.
Were you able to re-use the same pin that was used on the 10mm bolt or did you have to purchase a new one?
I re-used the pin.

Did it fix the leak?

Did it actually stop the leaking ?
Yes it did, dry as a bone now.
Is this a 2000 automatic?
1999 CR-V automatic transmission.
Did you drain the tranny before pulling the seal?
