    There is a lot of value here in the focus points here.
    -Teamwork trading to learn from different styles/timeframes
    -Discussing your gameplan with your team, looking for shortcomings&correlations for higher conviction opportunities
    -Setbacks will come. Have detailed plans to overcome each situation & rinse/repeat.

    Oh man, thanks I needed to hear this today. Huge, huge thank you. I was questioning alot of my mistakes today. And then I was journaling my trade, and I had this "what for?" attitude. The more I wrote, the worse I felt. So I had to snap myself out of it. And I saw this clip. I felt a whole lot better. So I'll be back in the saddle tomorrow. "Why do we fall, Master Wayne? We fall, so we can pick ourselves back up."

    Im seeing my own pattern of young guns. Garette is the only one over 30 ive seen inawhile. I wish I was in my 20s still. Learning curve is steep. Would be nice to have that extra stamina. Tape replays, studying chart patterns, reading, journaling and testing. Days go by too fast

    Hi Mike: it sounds to me from other videos that 1st year traders have quite a struggle during that time. In this example however it sounds like the above trader went comparatively well in his first year. I just would of liked to hear you give an overview from yr own perspective, of the traders performance over that time period- that would've made it even more interesting. Okay

    It sounds like you have pretty stringent requirement about what an A+ trade is. When I personally enter trades and review them later, I sometimes fall into a predicament where I thought the trade was logical and the setup was good but come to find out it went the wrong direction. Could you explain more about the different variables that impact the way you define a "good trade?"

  • @EriPages

    Roughly 225 trading days in any given year, so 1k/day would be $225 000 for the year.

    I've never gotten an answer to this question, but I'll keep trying: When, as a beginner, a goal is to hit $1,000 profit in a day, what is that as a percentage? (i.e. 1K is 5% of 20K and only 2% of 50K)
    When I moved from trading PaperMoney to trading MyMoney I kept my account really small 'cause I prepared myself to "pay my tuition" for learning. My goal has been to average 1.5% profit from each intra-day trade (varying from scalps (1-2%) to 2-4 hour trend trades (2-4%) while only losing 0.75% or less on losses. The intent is to build upon consistency in the future, once consistency is achieved...So, I'm just curious how that 'beginner's goal' of 1K would translate to various account sizes...

    • @georgemcduffey2622
      @georgemcduffey2622 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      ...Oh, and as always, these videos are priceless. Thanks for the content.

    • @RedCandles_
      @RedCandles_ 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      A good rule of thumb is to risk 1%- 2% of your account on each trade because of the risk of ruin. If you’re in the early stages, I would honestly trade paper money. It takes time to collect data on your live trades after trying different strategies. Once you are trading consistently profitably on sim, and have hard data and rules, I would risk 1% per trade because of the low risk of ruin. Google “risk of ruin.”

    • @georgemcduffey2622
      @georgemcduffey2622 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RedCandles_ I get that. My stops are usually between 0.5 to 1% of my account. I learned the hard way that the best way to be profitable is to limit losses...My question is on the goal of $1K in a day, and what that is as a percentage to the trader that specific goal belongs to...and I use both PaperMoney and a small cash account to trade with, depending on the environment at the time and if I'm experimenting with a new set-up.
