  • Welcome, fellow travelers and architecture enthusiasts! Today, join us on an immersive journey as we explore the enchanting world of Artyzen Singapore - a modern lifestyle hotel nestled in the heart of the city. This architectural gem seamlessly blends the rich heritage of the past with the luxuries of contemporary living.
Artyzen Singapore is not just a hotel; it's a testament to the fusion of past and present. Once known as "Villa Marie," a tropical garden mansion built in the 1940s by the great-grandson of philanthropist Mr. Tan Tock Seng, this iconic heritage landmark has undergone a stunning transformation. The juxtaposition of Villa Marie's charming proportions against the modern cityscape sets the stage for a unique architectural masterpiece.
Conceptualized as an oasis in the city, Artyzen Singapore draws inspiration from Singapore's culture, colors, and flavors. The design embodies the tropical climate and lush greenery, creating an experience deeply rooted in the local context. Stacked vertically, the "sky villas" pay homage to the charming proportions of Villa Marie, creating an architecture deeply ingrained in the tropical lushness of Singapore.
Artyzen Singapore comprises five major parts, each telling a story of thoughtful design. Sky gardens of 2-storey and 3-storey volumes alternate, creating a dynamic play on the façade. The hotel space explores the verticality of space, with staggered communal spaces on the 4th and 5th storeys, laced with lush greenery. From the 8th floor upwards, multiple sky gardens connect to guest rooms, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in tropical gardens.
Artyzen Singapore is not just visually stunning; it's also designed with sustainability in mind. Building fenestration is oriented to minimize heat and solar glare, while cast aluminum panels and steel mesh screens enhance energy efficiency and privacy. The design not only connects with its unique context but also rediscovers the wisdom of climatic responses from the past, making it a sustainable haven.
