Risey is so special, you can't help loving him! I think you will know when the time comes you will do the right thing. At this time all you can do is love and take care of him. You are so amazing to all the horses and they really love you! You just have a way with horses and they can sense it. Risey is my favorite! He has a big personality!! The playfullness won't be as a male colt but Risey seems to already realize she's a mare and needs gentler handling, so we'll see a lot of mutual grooming towards that too, maybe if we are lucky some chase games as well.
Yvonne don’t fret about Risey, he is doing well considering and he loves you so much! He is happy and interested in life! Hopefully the mares will accept him like they do Sjors and he will be a great companion horse! His wobblers has improved and he will learn to live with his disability. 🐎❤️❤️❤️
Yvonne, horses fall even without Wobblers. The play around and run around and slip and fall. Most don't get hurt. You can see this on some of the TH-cam channels. Risey is doing very well. He got spooked and scared himself and fell. That's not a reason to give up on him. His future may not be what you wanted for him but he's enjoying his life, he's not in pain so be positive. He can be a good companion for other horses and he clearly is attached to you.
Well I'll just pray that Risey, even if he has an occasional bad moment, doesn't mean that you have to end his life.. if you and his veterinarian are convinced that he is not in pain let him enjoy what he can because he's a beautiful horse and we know how much he loves you and you love him.✨✝️✨..❤❤❤

You have found a much better pasture/arena partner for Risey in Yfke. As for Risey's condition, you will just know when it is time, Yvonne. If he hurts himself or it is apparent that he is a real danger to others (especially you or your friends/family), it is definitely time. Many blessings on you for all you give us. I am grateful.
Talk about an awkward teenage phase... Yfke is lifting her tail for Risey and clacking at the same time! 😂
I think they are absolutely adorable together and a good fit! Risey hates being alone, but she doesn't inspire him to be crazy playfull, and he doesn't bully her! Perfect! ❤
He technically is bullying her with the obvious biting because horses need to estalish dominance when they first meet or are reintroduced but he does not bully her in the same way a mare would or in the same way Risey would another male horse, the dynamic shifts when it's a male with a female. A female's role is mainly to protect her foal and herself while a male horse's role is to protect the herd from danger whether in the form of intruders or challengers. So he might snake her around but won't be territorial over his food because a male horse realises that their mares need to be healthy in order to reproduce for them, that's why no matter how frustrating a mare can be when they are protecting their foals or when they are in heat, the male will try their hardest not to hurt the mare unless the mare is being too pushy when she's in heat.
@darn4285 he wasn't chasing her off like the ponies. He was VERY tolerant of her! But yes, of course he will establish dominance, that's not the same thing as bullying.
She doesn't realize that he's the perfect mate! Any horse can be a father, but Risey is so gorgeous!

Risey has a great companion in Yfke and that is what he needs and she likes him and that is what matters! Don’t ever think you are doing the wrong thing they get along well together!

Yes, he fell - but he also got back up again! If he couldn’t get up on his own, then there would be cause for concern, I think. But he can stand up and walk/trot on his own, he looks healthy otherwise, and seems to be enjoying life with his family. I think you are making the right decision keeping him alive. 😊

Poor Risey. He looks none the worse for wear though. You can get a film that sticks to the windows that allows you to see OUT but nobody can see IN. This way you can observe the outside but not be seen. It is simple to install. This way that won't happen again. It also gives you and your family some privacy. I think you are doing the right thing with Risey. He still has a lot of life left in him. I enjoyed his hay toss as he left the stable. He and Yfke make such a cute couple (of friends).

I was so happy to see you try putting Risey and Yfke together. I have been thinking for several weeks now that they would make a good buddies.
I don't think you're doing the wrong thing by keeping Risey alive. If he falls every once in a while it's not a huge deal as long as he doesn't hurt himself or someone else. I'm sorry you're having to deal with him having Wobbler's Syndrome on top of everything else recently. 😢

It is very sad that Risey will not be ridden or have the life that a horse of his pedigree usually has. But I can;t help but feel that he is right where he is now supposed to be. With Yvonne If he had come down with this affliction with a different owner, he most likely would have been put down by now. Risey brings so much joy and is well loved by so many all over the world. Because of Yvonne and her channel, Risey does have purpose. Risey is valued so highly and helps bring peace and serenity to many, including me. He is also very good with the other Stal H ponies and horses. We never know how long we will have any pet or animal that comes into our life. All we can do is give them the best life that we possibly can and love them and make the best decisions for their care and quality of life. Yvonne is doing just that. I trust Yvonne to know what is best for Risey and always be his advocate. Thank you for sharing him with us Yvonne, It means a lot.
Yvonne, Don't lose hope! I think that you made the right decision with Risey. He might take a tumble now and again, but he is not suffering and is just so happy and living life to the fullest.
As long as Risey isn't in pain, he seems to be living a good life and happy. A couple of stumbles, even falls, are just part of life for him. Just like a person who is disabled can still live a full life.
I agree. It is good that we are able to give the Last Act of Kindness to our animals and it's hard to know just WHEN that time is; would a lame horse prefer to limp around and graze and basically enjoy life. I wonder just how much pain would cause me not to enjoy life. As to Rosie's 'wobblies' it seems he is not in pain ..... if you have ever seen cats with the 'wobblies' they are unfazed by their condition they are loving happy cats. If Rosie's condition leads to pain that shows in his demeanor Yvonne will know and act for him ❤❤❤❤❤
Risey was just trying out his cat like reflexes but forgot he's not a cat. 😅 As long as he's not hurting himself, he should be fine.
Earlier Risey was fleerring at ifka a bunch that may have gotten him wound up a bit...then he lost control a little...it's going to be OK..just keep watching Risey to see how he's doing. I fell hard four years ago broke six vertebrae in lower back. Cannot have it fixed. So don't put him down until he's in bad pain or worse. He is just girl crazy and she's boy crazy big time!! Flirting is going on and bound to happen here.

Rising Star always seems like such a happy boy in the videos. I'm not there, so I can't judge fully, but he seems to be enjoying his life
With rising star you are doing your best and giving him a chsnce. If welfare and quality of life needs to be called at some point I am sure you will do what is best. Ignore anyone else... we are not there. The decisions are yours to make as it should be.

Even though he hell, on average, he looks more stable, at least from what I’ve seen in videos. I think you are giving him a an incredible gift by letting him live his life to the fullest for as long as he is able.

I think animals have the ability to tell us when it’s time, when their life becomes too much to bear. Yvonne, you know Risey better than anyone. I truly believe that he will let you know when he’s had enough. His eyes will tell you. He will seem depressed. If I were you I would continue doing what you’re doing, watching him closely, getting him acupuncture/ massages or any therapy that might give him some relief. We will all support you no matter what you decide because we all know that quality of life is most important no matter how much we love our animals.❤❤❤

Look, Risey is not aware of being a handicapped horse. And with the love and patienceYvonne share with us we can collect money so Risey might be an ambassadour for disabled beings still having a full life. Yes? No?

I’m 69 and going through the same thing. I’ve followed Yvonne and the herd since that early morning that Uniek lost Star. I believe that God, in His providence, brought that beautiful orphan colt to Uniek and Yvonne to fill that void. Like others have posted, I trust Yvonne and Risey’s veterinarian to make the right choices. It would be a huge blow to their fans globally, but…..😢.

I also am at the stage of falling and it is not a pleasant experience. Risey might have skidded if he was frightened in some way! Hope he is OK, he looks OK in the video. ❤️❤️
@@mrs.brunke443 I had to buy a watch with fall detection..it calls the police and then my husband..my last fall was just a few months ago, alone in my kitchen..could see me passed out or dead hitting my head on the floor. My very 1st fall I broke my right shoulder and arm..at that time I really wished I was dead lol..the body is getting old but God has blessed me with a young soul. 😊😇

Not a horse owner, but have had animals. Most of them will not let you know if they are hurting. You have to see it. I think if Risey was hurt in the fall, he would limp, or not be able to get up. Don't second guess yourself every time something happens. It will drive you nuts. I could tell Risey and Yfke would be friends, can't remember the clue. They are cute together. When you decide to breed her, Risey can be the step father. Love and prayers from NC, USA

Even healthy Horses can fall and trip because they are scared…if it doesn’t happen a few times a Day or week…no big deal he seems very happy and not in pain and now has a new friend were he can even cuddle with….and Yfke seems happy too😂❤❤❤
It would be wonderful if Risey could have a friend in the pasture/arena area with him.
Risey looks a little confused by the odd new friend. Risey is a magnificent boy, and Risey will tell you when it’s time. Maybe you should wear a big cow bell so Risey knows where you are all the time. Love them while you have them. My son’s service dog is getting up in age, they leave a hole in our hearts, but just enough for another to come and fill our heart again…right next to our memories. So we end up with many memories and HUGE COMPASSIONATE HEARTS….and I think yours is gigantic. Bee well……..
Yvonne, I believe your MAIN worry is that Risey will take a fall and REALLY painfully injure himself, which would be a terrible thing! If you get to the point where you believe that will happen, then just know that we will understand if the decision you make is painful for all of us! We really do trust your judgement, since you're the one that's with him 24/7.

I’m glad Risey has a pasture pal. He seems to spend most of his time in physical comfort. From here, risk to himself and others still seems a distant possibility but you are the only one able to judge that. I don’t envy you.

Have often wondered how horses must act towards reflections, etc....of course they see themselves in water....but glass windows are different...mirrors must be really scarey at times....
