- Hello and welcome back to another instalment of Train Sim World 4!
We're back today having a look at another one of the starter routes you'll get when you purchase this game. The S-Bahn Voralberg comes with the Bombardier Talent multiple unit, along with some freight services. The scenery is absolutely stunning so I'm really looking forward to taking a drive down this route.
We're driving an RE5 service today which is a semi fast train. I think we're going to get stuck behind the stopping service, as today we're going to run into a few red signals en route. It'll make the drive more interesting!

To put the different services in perspective, S is S-bahn or local commuter routes, R is regional trains and REX is regional express services.
SIFA is the dead man's switch, although I find it not working well on the ÖBB 4024. PZB is the cab safety systems working with the signals. LZB is the in-cab signalling system for faster trains. AFB and tempomat are cruise control systems, AFB works toger wth LZB, tempomat not for as far as I know.
And yes, that is a no trespassing sign.
29:20 That's a combination of main (top) and distant (bottom) signal. The distant signal is at caution (2 yellows). AFAIK this is done when the distance between consecutive main signals is too short. | 140 km/h is the top speed of the Talent.
The door switch is actually correct. It was confirmed over on the DTG Forum when someone else reported it. Does seem odd though.

I’m loving Vorarlberg as well, did you know that photo mode can be accessed by pressing shift+space.
Also from lustenau the triangle branch goes to blüdenz and feldkirk.
Edit: if you need help with PZB and sifa I am happy to hop in a VC and help 😃, I am fairly confident with it now.

Do Aventras count as a Talent
As an Austrian, I can tell you this scenario is completely unrealistic. In Austria we rarely get something else than pure sunshine, occasionally a few loose clouds. I mean, even now in November, right as I'm typing this.
Btw since you said you like driving in germany and austria, I could give you a crash course on our safety systems, being a professional myself (I also drove in reality). Give me a shoutout and I can make you a short video explaining the most important stuff.

Still, they charge a revolution price for only an evolution, its not like they couldnt simply patch , but ofc , that wouodnt bring in the last drops of revenue they can still earn since theyve driven away anyone else
