Being American, I first listened to, and fell in love with Brian Dee and Irving Martin's instrumental theme for RETURN OF THE SAINT, in late December 1979. Within the past two years, I've gained a new appreciation for Oliver Onions' European theme for the series. The lyrics speak to me, a lifetime Saint fanatic ( as well as a grateful recovering alcoholic). Simon Templar has always been a romantic hero, who savours adventure and excitement with the seasoned, cultivated taste of an expert). I've always harbored a fondness for "The Robin Hood Of Modern Crime", especially bring an assault/incest survivor and underdog
Superb memories........its all in golden era of 1970s when probably the world is much better then now..........in every aspect? perhaps.......we all have the right to say that....no those ridicilously 'made ego machines' smart phones................
