This moved me to tears. I watched Vinland Saga during a dark time in my life. I was so hurt and angry all the time. "You have no enemies" literally changed my life. Because of this story, it's characters and messages, I overcame that trauma. Absolutely beautiful masterpiece of cinema.
Vinland Saga is not only one of the best of anime, but of animation, of television, and of film. It can be argued to be of the greatest of historical fictions of all time.
Either by sheer coincidence or dumb luck you made the video after I binged all 2 seasons for the first time. I will say this video was well needed and I am thankful of watching the anime.

I had such a emotional ride throughout the series….what an amazing beautifully woven plot..it’s not easy balancing two opposite elements throughout and stitch everything together smoothly and highlighting the beauty of life amongst tyranny of evil men, the arc completion of all the characters in the way it did…glorious..it gotta be in my top 6 essential media consumed

I've never related to an anime/manga character more than Askeladd. I don't wanna get too deep into it but, his unstated loneliness of fighting amongst a group that he was never apart of, while the nation that he loves withers away...
The quiet scenes in this series are undoubtedly the most impactful when Thorfinn gazes at the sea and the wind gently brushes his hair in ep1 when Thors asks Askeladd if he has a family and children, and Askeladd pauses before quietly replying 'no' when Thors refuses Askeladd's request to lead him and his men, and Askeladd remains silent, looking somber when Askeladd sends off Torgrim and Atli when Thorkell and his men kill all the rebels while Askeladd stands silently with his head bowed and when Askeladd stands by Ragnar's dead body in silence and many more
Um dos melhores animes eu adoro como eles prestaram atenção no aspecto das mãos serem mãos com todas as suas definições que é o que eu adoro do desenho do Yukimura ele sabe que essas mãos contam história para além do estético. Mas falando do todo pra mim até onde o anime chegou é até onde eu gosto do mangá ou seja ainda por cima o anime é redondo é uma experiência satisfatória tendo ou não uma próxima temporada o momento mais belo de animação pra mim para além dos shots de paisagens e toda a parte do Thorfinn sendo confrontado pelos zumbis com o Askelad o salvando, eu tenho meus porém com esse antagonista como quem vai salvar o Thorfinn, mas o momento é belíssimo me lembrou um pouco de GOT com os zumbis pelo contexto visual.
