    I like how the floor turned out. Thanks for sharing the link for the rubber trim for the subfloor. I’ve thinking about how to finish the edge. With all of the curves, this seems like the easiest way.

      Thanks! It’s a bit of a finger workout to get it on there, but it worked out well in the end.

    Nice that came out great! My NV200 build has been kind of a PITA! 😆I'm in New Hampshire and plan on doing winter excursions so I wanted more insulation on the floor. I went with 1.5 inch foam board topped with 1/2 inch plywood. Since I don't want to remove this subfloor ever I made a little cutout removable hatch for the black thing (maybe a fuel pump) behind the passenger seat. That was a total pain! I'm on to your wiring video next!

      Thanks! The camera covers a lot o mistakes :-) In retrospect, the extra floor insulation would have been a good idea (I also do a lot of cold weather camping). Ironically, I was living in MA for the last couple years and could have given you a hand, but now I’m back in Michigan. Thanks for watching and good luck with your build!

    Very professional. Nice. I am not so sure I would do as well on my NV 200. Lol.

    Just noticed the carpet on walls. Looks great! Nice jobs here.

      Again, thank you for the compliment! I was not thrilled with the finished product (it’s a complex surface to stretch carpet onto) so I probably won’t do a video on it. Better that people watch a qualified installer for that one :-)

    I've watched all your videos from the start this week. As a total beginner who is crafty but has never used a power tool other than a sewing machine in my 68 years, I so appreciate this detailed video. The only thing I couldn't visualize was where you said you screwed the wooden subfloor down to the metal van bottom. Can you elaborate? Thanks! And I look forward to hearing which van you ended up preferring/using for your travels!

      Well, I wouldn't know how to even thread a sewing machine, so we all have things we are better at :-) On the NV200 cargo model, there are six threaded holes in the floor, that can be used for tie-downs. I think they are M8 screw size. That's what I used to hold the subfloor and then I attached the bed to the floor. My floor was thin and light, but if you use thicker plywood, you'll definitely want to make sure you tie it down. You don't want that stuff flying around if you have an accident. Thanks for watching, I really appreciate it!

    Did you install 16 inch tires and rims on your van and if so how did that work out for you???

    • @OdysseyCamper
      @OdysseyCamper  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I did, off of an Altima. I will be doinn a post in it in the next two weeks, on OdysseyCamper.com I’ve run 3 different sizes and will go over the pros and cons.

    I can't find the floor measurement. Did you ever give it? thank you.

    • @OdysseyCamper
      @OdysseyCamper  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s about 83” X 55” at the widest point and 48” between the wheel wells. I just used the rubber floor mat as a guide to mark the wood.
