      You might find it a bit hard but you can check them out at his Naver blog, it's all in Korean but maybe translate them? Basically what I saw was that he made all the wooden part himself with such and such skills. He mentioned lots of repeated manual labor.

    The modifications are really impressive. Would certainly subscribe if there were subsequent videos on how to incorporate these modifications into the Cafelat. Would also be interested in purchasing many of them! Even if this required some circuit design/implementation (thinking about the piston/basket heater), I think some users would really go for it. Thanks for the great video otherwise!

    the work flow for the robot is par none. @cafelat you can use between 15g to 20g of coffee. the deep porta filter basket is 57.5 mm and doubles as the brew chamber... for espresso at home you can't go wrong with the robot ... you can buy multiple / 4+ baskets and 4+ screens very reasonably and pull multiple rapid fire double shots (35-40 g ) with ease. the portafilter basket will reduce the temperature about 10-12 degrees from BOILING putting you right around 200F or 93C for extraction ... very well thought out just like FAEMIMA BABY it's inspired by !!
    Once you're done you just wipe the piston, dump the espresso puck, rinse the screen and basket and you're ready for the next shot ... Easy !! I love this machine.

    So you don’t need pre heat first with this machine?

    • @joconnell
      @joconnell 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      For medium and dark roast no, boiling water drops to about 90 degrees with the thermal mass of the machine so you’re good to go. For light roast you can either preheat by getting a basket add on that plugs the bottom so you can let the piston sit in hot water, or you can look at things like turbo shots which fire through so quickly that pre heat doesn’t matter.

    • @awesomefinger
      @awesomefinger  19 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      The basket and portafilter of the robot have minimal contact with hot water, so extensive preheating isn’t necessary. However, with light-roasted beans that require higher water temperatures, I preheat the cylinder electrically to minimize temperature loss^^
