If your want to see some of these quirky cars actually on the road, Robert Dunn of "Aging Wheels" was given permission by the people of Lane Museum to do some videos on his channel about them. Check then out.
I live in Reno, Nevada. There is a lot more to do here than go to casinos…like the Harrah’s Automotive Museum. I was there this spring and they only have about 1/5 of their collection on display.
That place is awesome! I was in Nashville for work a couple years ago, and the museum happened to be right on the way from my hotel to the client. Managed to get away early and stop in - just amazing. You actually can sit in their Citroen 2CV. I'd read about it, but forgot about it until I drove past.
We have the coolest museums in Nashville. I always tell friends, "If you turned a wrench or two in your day like I have, you have to go to Lane Motor Museum." BTW, if I recall, almost all of the vehicles are in working condition. The building used to be the local Sunbeam bread bakery up to the early 90's.
That museum would appear to be very good at giving one a sore neck due the number of times one would spin round to look at something else that's popped up in the corner of ones eye. That makes for a very fun day 🙂 As for the propeller propelled car - perfect pedestrian friendly, it's got a guard around the propeller to keep them safe.... You've given me another reason to want to head across the pond to Nashville sometime in the not too distant future, thanks.
I was just reading about the Lane Museum last week where they acquired the custom "Futura/Waimea" made from a Corvair wagon. It has a center driving position and looks like a Hot Wheels model. I guess Lane still has it under wraps.
Cool video. Thanks. I do kinda wonder why they chose to have a somewhat crusty 1974 Volvo 142E in their collection, though. Think I'd rather see a similarly colored 1973 VW Thing on display (typing this as someone who's been a Volvo guy all his life).
Very fascinating place. Today they act like the electric vehicle is so important. It’s not a new concept. I was done many many years ago. Everything goes full circle
Thanks for taking us along.

Yes thankyou for letting us tag along it was very enjoyable. Safe travels. Ken.
Wow, that was cool. I need to check this place out. Thanks for posting this!
We went there several years ago it's a very interesting and unusual museum, lots of odd vehicles, thanks for sharing
I liked it!
I was there last year , great place
It is a great way to spend an afternoon for a very reasonable price
Thanks for the video. We will be in Nashville on our way back from the FL keys in May!
Very nice display of cool car's Sir. Thanks for the tour 🔧👍
Love this video what a neat showroom
Fascinating !
I remember using those Sun scopes and equipment
OBD version Old Testament
Funny!!!
Thank you for the tour. Many of the cars reflect post-war Europe, Germany in particular, rebuilding devastated economies.
That was fun Scott thank you
Thanks for the tour 👍🏼
these are some obscure cars. amazing collection.
keep the clips coming
The propeller car was actually the first one with functional AC unit. NOT, but probably worked great of hot days. Looks like you had a good time..

Thanks for the look around. A fascinating collection, especially in the US.
Nice, if I go back that way, I will definitely go
It’s worth the trip
Strange, quirky, fun cars and a kid on a leash, lot's of stuff I haven't seen before.
Thanks you for the video.
Scott, your Thing would fit right in there.....
I think they are also known for lots of orphan cars as well as oddities

I’ve been there, great place.
Then do the basement tour as well.
Went about a month ago. What an amazing collection of strange vehicles.

If all cars were like that i don’t think protesters would try blocking hwys ;)

I recall seeing the Sinclair C5 used in some films.
Love the Tatras. The NZ army have the 6 wheel Pingauzers as their light transport vehicles. They replaced aging Land Rovers.

I've been there twice, and it's still not enough.
did you see a volskwagen THING in the museum ?
Nope i was surprised

..do you think they have room for an older Greyhound from Tennessee?
6:22 Lenny, the bus should be on display. A classic old bus of Americana transportation.
