Very well put together. I'm a huge Rutger Hauer fan and believe this was one of his best. His mother and best friend died whilst making it and he made blade runner straight after this. Rest is history
Christ almighty Rutger Hauer was utterly gorgeous,so talented and real looking a proper MAN. He left us way too soon 75 yes, but he seemed so healthy and well. I'm in shock,
Saw this in the movie theater at age 15 and absolutely loved it! The music, the drama and the action! Every couple of years, I will rewatch it! Stallone and Rutger make this a film that defines the early 1980's action movies! Thanks for the share!
It's been said here many times but...a great film that's truly overlooked. Stallone at his finest. Lando & Stallone make a great team here. A real shame they couldn't have made a sequel.
I first saw this movie when I was 11 and I'll never forget this song in the dance club scene. Every other versions of this movie have a different song from the Rolling Stones I believe and it just doesn't have the same impact.
When the suspected it was Wulfgar in the disco, why didn't they just call for back up, surround the place and arrest him when he left the building? Ok, its a movie, I get it.
I read they cut this film down . The ending in which they spent a lot of time doing but cut it was when Sly shoots Rutger but supposedly a head shot that exploded his head that the FX crew worked hard to make but deemed too violent and for years they finally got the original soundtrack back . Keith Emerson's Main track is awesome and is on my playlist .Also did anyone catch Lindsey's boss was played by 70's porn star Jamie Gillis ?
201 to 225 is fantastic....disco scene seriously rocks with the little subliminal mug-shot and great tune, absolutely great edit, best thing if i wanna watch the movie with me morning sherb and don't have time. Gets ya all prepared for the day. WUUUUUULFGAAAAAAR.
Good movie made great with the talents of some good actors and Kieth Emerson's epic soundtrack. And the Second Ave. subway was under construction then, as it is still now some 33 years on.
also some of the R1/9 cars used in the movie were saved into the transit museum's collection & are currently running on the holiday special every Sunday this month
I JUST LOVE THIS MOVIE definitely a closet classic so Disgusting? No one knows how to put the GREATS FIRST💋❤💙💚💛💜💓💔💕💖💗💘💝💞💟If you never saw this movie you are missing out on LIFE💀👽💀👽💀👽💀
I remember watching this on TV when I was a teenager and thinking it was really cool and stylish. I was very disappointed when I rented it and the music was all different. It really detracted from the atmosphere of the movie. This compilation reminds me of my first impressions.
3:50 Instead of staring him down, and yelling his name,Sly should have just gone over and apprehended Wolfgard. He wouldn’t have gotten away and no one would have been shot. Great police work, buddy.
Yeah watched the film last night for the first time and that made no sense. I suppose it makes the scene tense but he should've just walked up to him and arrested him rather than the staring contest
enno smit The two tracks used in the disco scene are Im' A Man by Keith Emerson (featured in this video) and Brown Sugar by The Rolling Stones. Permission to use these tracks on some DVD versions of the film wasn't granted so two completely different tracks appear on the other version. This is music from the original soundtrack in the video though..
excellent editing, ellipses on some sequences, and whole on principal scenes, too bad for some "Charlie Angels" style music that dampens the power of images, I love this movie
@filmmusicstudio Cheers bud, really shoehorned this into that First Blood format, didn't quite work this time. Back to the normal format methinks, really need to start learning some of your amazing repetoire of fx and editing techniques. Looking forward to yer next 0:48
R I P Rutger Hauer and Nigel Davenport who were great in this,Love the Emerson(R I P)🙏 Score 🎼🎶Love the fact I have the Prerecorded version of this with the Disco scene with Emerson's I'm a man yes I am followed by Brown Sugar on VHS 📼 tape but on the DVD the Disco scene is different,Prefer the Emerson version music 🎼🎶🎸🥁🎹🎹🎹
This guy is a serial killer he shouldn't going around looking for young men or young women go get him sylvester you can stop him from hurting innocent people it happens in real life stay safe everyone god bless you.
Rest In Peace Keith Emerson & Rutger Hauer.....
Oh I didn't know
Also R.I.P. Persis Khambatta.
Very well put together. I'm a huge Rutger Hauer fan and believe this was one of his best. His mother and best friend died whilst making it and he made blade runner straight after this. Rest is history

RIP to the greatest, Keith Emerson. Great movie, and now I know why I loved the score. Never knew Keith wrote it.
+Ronna Lambiasi DeLoe And played it.
RIP
Thanks but yeah, that goes without saying.
I just love to listen his keys between the orchestra.
They were playing Brown Sugar in that disco scene. What really sealed it.
It's been said here many times but...a great film that's truly overlooked.
Stallone at his finest.
Lando & Stallone make a great team here.
A real shame they couldn't have made a sequel.
it also would have been nice to have Linsey Wagner play a more important role as well
the subway chase was literally epic, along with superb themes of the movie
This movie is insanely underrated. The first time I saw it, I kept wondering why I'd never seen it before
I hope you watched the Uncut version?
I first saw this movie when I was 11 and I'll never forget this song in the dance club scene. Every other versions of this movie have a different song from the Rolling Stones I believe and it just doesn't have the same impact.
I just watched it online last night and they were playing the Rolling Stones but in the trailer I seen for it they were playing a different song
@@laurarules3642 yea the Rolling stones song is the replacement. Disappointing
I love the club scene when Rutger Hauer looks at Stallone and they both just “know”...with the music in the background...great scene...
Great actor!! RIP Rutger Hauer.
I've been watching this shit every night now for about 5 months, I can't get enough this shit SINBAD!!!
+1986SSMONTECARLO Glad ya like it!!
Excellent edit! Club scene music brings back the old chills... but overall a great fusion. Great job!
2016BMWi8
Well, I meant, chills from watching the kickass club sequence as a kid, not actually being up in da club! Lol
...also thanks for taking the time and putting this together. I listen to this whole album every month.
Really nice work! I've never heard the disco scene music so clearly.
Rest In Peace to the lovely Rutger Hauer.

Awesome movie in my opinion, very underappreciated. Terrific ending, I remember when I first seen this. RIP Rutger 😢
Bravo ! it's a great work for a great movie !
Sylvester Stallone VS Rutger Hauer wouuaaaouu !!!
Rutger Hauer, what a handsome man.
When the suspected it was Wulfgar in the disco, why didn't they just call for back up, surround the place and arrest him when he left the building? Ok, its a movie, I get it.
Such an underrated film .
En paz descanse el actor neerlandés Rutger Hauer, el mítico Roy Batty (Blade Runner) y el desalmaddo Wulfgar (Halcones de la Noche).
Dan Reese
I knew it was Jamie Gillis...i was waiting for someone else who noticed this...good eye...
Great cut with music and Story.
RIP Rutger Hauger super actor aka Wulfgar

Memorable film that deserved a sequel.

@ 7:48 Wulfgar > We may not make it this time...Shakka > It does not matter.
8:56 - My favorite scene!
I saw this movie in the mid-80s. They dont make movies like this anymore. Its the actors too.
Fantastic

Great Great 10 minutes. Only thing I thought you missed was after the NYC bank explosion, "This is Wulfgar and there is no security."
Ha!! You're right! "There's no security.....you may print that". Hauer was tremendous in this film.
Rockyyyyyyy
That's when Stallone and Billy D Williams were Fiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnneee! Thank you!

@ 2:03 Looks like Wulfgar has an orgasm, he really loves his work.
