Yup the way he "entrypaths" looks so scared and confused, MG1 player who got boosted by smurfing GE friends seems like the rational explanation.
Most solely support players do get boosted because they rely on duo, trio or even 5man with higher skilled players to win and then claim it’s because they are “support”

Faceit ZA is region locked to 1 hub and gold league and diamond and masters are the 3 leagues which all have level caps and gold is a mix of silvers to GEs so the teams are fucked and its not the most fun to play and or get out of. also Ik dewy dont roast my dewy :(
I'm a GN4/MG1 in NA and I can drop 35-45 kills in lvl 1 and 2 faceit
*PSA* For those trying to compare this to NA or EU cs, this is South African Faceit, we dont have a huge scene and Faceit is split into 3 league's. Gold League (which is 1-4 and what we are watching), Diamond (semi-pro league 6-10) Masters (+10).
Gold is where every player can join so you can get Nova4s playing against GE stacks and the skill gap between Gold and Diamond is so big that often a single Diamond player getting booted to Gold is enough to carry the team with +40 frags (no exaggerating).
Now not making excuses for Dewy but ZA Gold faceit has a huge problem with toxicity and "baiting" and due to the skill gaps of the league (hence why you see him letting everyone going in first, in his mind he doesn't trust these players to do anything properly, which is also why he throws the util because he doesn't trust them to do it)

IMO Dewy is playing with zero confidence, coming from someone that knows these leagues, he was essentially just doing general util, not playing support. For example, after their A exec, he runs away and goes palace instead of taking a good afterplant position to play off teammates and hold the retake as a unit - essentially running away to a hiding spot due to, in my opinion, a lack of confidence and self belief
Souzern is a really awkward league in terms of skill gaps tbh, they should make a bronze (1-3) gold (4-6) and diamond (7-10+) but don't think there's enough people available to make that happen, but maybe if it's a bit easier to get into there will be more players joining the hub in SA
I read a lot in the forums and it's so interesting to read the roles. People don't understand that in PUGs there is no role you play, you are everything depending on the situation. And even in team vs team fights only at a respectable level you start fitting into a role, which gets optimized the further you go in terms of the level of team. But even on the highest level anyone can be anything depending on the situation. Sometimes a support is entrying, sometimes a entry is supporting. Same with lurking etc. - it all is so dependend on how the round is played out, even spawns can already decide that. So your video is a great example how someone is mentally stuck with the idea that he HAS to be the support player and never do something on his own.

I think "roles" in general are a really fluid thing in csgo. One round you are entry fragging because you got a better spawn, another you are lurking, another you are supporting with utility, which is something anybody should do anyway. The only roles which are pretty solid, in my opinion, are probably sniper and team leader.
I consider myself a support player but I view that as doing whatever the team needs, filling in the gaps.
No one wants to entry, I’ll entry. Everyone is really aggressive but doesn’t use nades, I’ll flash and smoke for them. No one is awping, I’ll AWP. No one anchors, I’ll anchor. No one rotates, I’ll rotate.
To me that’s being a support player. I do what the team needs, not just insist on my style or preference

i played a match recently on inferno, where i was a b player and had to play retake mode on a every single round, ofc no impact for me no frags, got the whole match mates shitting on me cause i have less kills 🤷♂️
the problem is that it's not Dota 2 where you pick your role at the beginning of the game. your role changes according to the situation at hand. and that's why i have some issues with people throwing around terms like support, entry, awper, carry and so on.
if you put your pro support in a potato lobby, he will prolly do the entry fragging, IGL and awping just as well as any other pro with a different role.
you dont igl in low ranks, people just get annoyed by you telling them how to play. give strats sometimes, dont igl.

I agree completely Voo, my suppport teammate designated from the very beggining as the bomb carrier stuck to that role for so long that he didn't develop that what is important in CS and everybody knows: it is a shooter. So he lost a lot of engagements due to lacking of confidence. I told him to play a bit more aggresive and let him go as entry fragger for a couple of games to get confidence and start shooting people (and me taking the role of support/igl/bomb carrier), and I can't tell you how much he developed his game since that. Thanks for the video, keep it up.

nah bro, i think he getting used to high level play style as a support so he don't have the confident for agressive play even in low rank. because in high rank people have good aim and high game sense which effected his play style. if you have bad aim you will developed a support role, it's a fancy way to say you are a coward who rely heavily on other to do the big play. It's the mind set that make an agressive and a pasive player.

I’m glad you make these videos. It feels like this is how most my teammates play in mid Elo mm ranks. Especially on T side it’s just terrible. No one attempts to trade and people seem to play for a save as soon as round starts, camping in spawn.
I feel this guy. I am that kind of player too, simply because I am not that mechanically talented in raw aim and I love CS utility usage for support. I would say your gameplay must adapt depending on your team.. lower ranks do suffer from people simply running around with no objective in mind, thus utility usage is basically useless. The higher the rank, the higher the chance your playstyle as a support can benefit the team. At least this is my experience and I agree with u a support player must adapt and understand when to engage properly.
Now that I am lv8 I feel my knowledge in terms of utility is helping the team, even more when there are entry fraggers. Still, I only play solo queue, so that team roles are not consistent over matches

I find myself in the same situation a lot where I always have to be the entry. It makes my play sloppy sometimes and/or I'm ignoring something a teammate may be doing to give myself an advantage.
Had the same problem before. Now I've been "EgoPeeking" for the past few weeks and I am winning more engagements than before.
I’m pretty new to the game, around 650h. I’m LE currently and faceit lvl 5. I’m always the most aggressive player in the games, I’m always the one pushing the sites as a T, hoping to get traded if I die. But people are always so scared and usually I just end up getting an entry frag then die because I’m all alone on the site.
If that’s always the case, sounds like you‘re too aggressive, then. That and lacking communication, if you teammates aren’t joining in on your push. On LE people should be good enough to do that. And if all of that doesn’t work, then there’s no point in continuing doing the aggressive pushing; if the teammates aren’t really doing what they should or even just what you want, then you have to adapt - you‘re not going to teach them on the spot. Maybe they are more comfortable pushing with full smokes down or you just have to play it Navi.
Practice when you clear first 2 angles, then stop and hold the second angle for 2-3 seconds.
Now when you swing site, you will all peek together.
Your teammates are late because they are clearing the same angles you just cleared.
For low buy rushes, cant help you with those, those are just too random
I find that in my games, assuming somewhat competent teammates which is admittedly a lot to ask, if someone is trying to entry and what you're describing is happening it's because they don't communicate well enough. If you want to entry onto a site and get traded make sure you aren't just going to the site and moving onto it without telling your team clearly what you want to happen. It's not enough to just say "lets go B" either. You need to specifically say "I'm peeking x, flash me in" or "I'm entrying now, X person I need to be peeking close while I peek wide so you can trade me" or something like that. The more clear and decisive you can be with you calls and communcation and the more you seem like you know what you're talking about the more likely your team while 1. do what you ask and 2. actually hear you and be able to do so. And remember not to just say "I'm peeking x trade me" as you're peeking it, your team probably won't be in a position to trade you well unless you give them a second to actually get ready to help, and especially don't flame them or be toxic afterwards, even if they're actual monkeys. If you entry, they don't trade, and then you get toxic while they're still alive it'll tilt them and throw the round. Save any comments till the start of the next round and be sure to say it in a way that doesn't sound like you're attacking them. If someone is being a monkey brained moron wait until the game is over and then be toxic lmao.
Just start throwing if that happen multiple time in faceit.

Sometimes lower faceit levels are unbearable in terms of communication and toxicity. It was almost impossible for me to rank up for some time. MM feels more friendly for me personally than low faceit levels.

I think the problem for Dewy is he's trying to take on a role in a low elo match and end up losing. He would rather do 10 times better if he just press W and play super aggressive and entryfrag for the team untill he reaches a higher elo game, where your teammates takes advantage of your supporting utility.

I am a support style player cause i am afraid of taking aim duels (cause my aim sucks so bad), and try to go last but one match my team was just couldn't kill the enemy team where i had to go as the entry and take entries and surprisingly i outaimed them and clutched 3 to 4 rounds as 1vX and won the match. I am level 2 currently as i am GNM in MM (was MGE 2 months back but stopped playing for two months straight and lost my noob aim i had earlier).
In csgo, you need to be confident whether or not you're a support. I made it to faceit level 7 even though I did not know a lot of utility lineups but instead I was always looking for contact and spearheading the enemy for my team, my competitive rank was mge.

As a solo player I've always pigeon holed my way into the "support" role. I think it comes down to wanting to limit risk as much as possible when playing with new players.
I rarely soloqueue. But I still have 50-80 nades thrown while some of the randoms I match with and against, have less than 10 total.
Playing too much team CS, being used to a different Gamestyle and also having other expectations makes me uncomfortable in some soloqueue games or pugs. But trying to turn into aggressive entry just doesn't work all the time. And playing the support heavy playstyle is easy to fall back to.

Im GN3 and I started playing with faceit because I heard that it was better servers and matching. However people get mad when I get into games with lv 4+ because I'm not as good. I don't want to hurt other peoples levels (also don't want to get reported bcuz people say they are going to rep me). They tell me to just play mm, should I stop using faceit for now or just not worry about it?

if you are the weaker player (which i am playing with soem of my friends), you could have more impact by trying to entry frag more often. if someone is behind me refragging in case i dont make it, i am still of more use than a guy standing behind just throwing nades.

What i think we should do is first round armor or something and if u won pistol buy head armor so u dont die one tap from pistol or smg or galil and keep it until u die and if the Ts take AKs just dont purchase Head armor and keep an eye on their economy so u can know when they will be buying smgs so u can buy head armor. I am noob so dont stick to it hard. Hope this might help.

@@luky2486 CT side is kinda messed up in economy part cause u also have to purchase atleast 3 kits on full gun round and m4 is 3100 and takes 2 taps to the head to kill someone. But u should purchase head armor in the second round if u won pistol and buy only armor u have died and buy head armor in the next round if u didnt get any damage on ur armor so u can upgrade it for less money. That's just what i do.

I just dropped a faceit lvl again because I lost a game 16-14 despite hitting 42 kills. I was the only one with a k/d above 1 on my team, and in the vast majority of rounds most of my team died without any impact in the first 45 seconds and those who didn't usually survived because they were just sitting somewhere baiting everyone else, only to not even be able to trade (and most of the time not even attempt it, )
sometimes you just get unlucky, I had back to back to back losses with 39,37, 38 kills without overtime but I've also trolled and bottomfragged 4 games in a row and won all of them and ranked up to lvl 8. Sometimes you get lucky teammates and sometimes you don't. If you want to circumvent this you should dodge matches when your team has players with low average kills.

Ranks seem so messed up in Faceit and normal ranked. Liked, you seem to have to be so friggin good just to get out of silver or 1/2. Its kinda wild.

Supports can Carry, but it sucks that Valve's ELO system doesn't account for Impact Rating via Support.

I always thought of teams as layers, were a round is usually opened and won by a good entry, as the players start to die in a row I always thought of the support player as a clutch/1vsX factor. I think that if you play B on most maps or if you stay last with the pretext to throw flashes, you are suposed to take all the information that your team has gathered and that you have seen on your radar to plot a route to either retake or clutch. Excusing yourself to your teammates while you save every round someone else doesn't entry by saying "uh well I play B, uh well I was throwing util" is just kind of pathetic.

Can you make a "Four levels of Radar usage" as I believen not many of us are using the radar to it's full potential.
Not really something you can put in a video, but the concept of being aware of the map and communication being used to help build the picture would be a good topic.
I have been B+ on ESEA for about 8 months with 72 ADR, so I think it is very much possible to rank up as a support. I do not however think you can be Rank G or Rank S with that low ADR.
I don't think a support role exists in pugs. The level of teamplay is so limited (simply because you cant preplan things with randoms) that anyone should be able to fulfill the "support" role given that it is needed at a certain moment. Besides, becoming a support player in pugs is like driving a car except you give the wheel to someone you picked out of a hat and the most you can do is sit in the passenger seat with one hand on the wheel guiding them

like 1/2 the people in gold nova are smurfing or cheating since your rank just goes down quickly for no reason if you don't queue for MM a lot. The amount of previously higher ranked players in those ranks increases every year as more accounts derank.

@@Riley_k10 Honestly man the rank comparisons are so useless. Faceit and MM are like completely different games to me. I have a 53% win rate and 1.2+ kd in faceit playing against 10s a lot, but in MM I just get insta hs every round by G3’s.
I had a 10 loss streak in faceit and dropped to lvl 5 but made it back to 7 pretty quick.

Faceit Gold in ZA is dog trash. The max stack in it is 3 and it's always recommended if you want to rank out of it and even then, you can get someone completely new to the game that gets their first kill in the second half of the game.
My AVG K/D when I got out of Gold (level 5) was 1.54. Waiting to move to EU to grind the ranks there. Didn't want to lose all my elo against the ATK players.

I'm a support player too. I.e. I don't play enough games or practice enough to really improve so I just look for other people to carry me and hope to rank up in the process.
Not to shit on valorant, but if someone want to have a specific role or job in the team and similar to csgo, valorant is the most ideal. Certain characters needs to peek first and certain characters needs to stay alive the longest. Csgo everyone needs to know how to use every utility and every weapon, you need to be much more flexible

I'm not one to usually talk trash on videos like this, but yeah...SMFC and hard stuck Faceit Level 2? The highest I've solo-queued to in MM was MG1, but even as a low-level shitter myself I was able to solo queue to Faceit Level 5, one win away from Level 6, in fewer than 100 games. Unless this dude is in the heart of EU or something it is kinda crazy to me that a Supreme can't get out of Level 2 for almost two years! Was he carried to SMFC by his friends or something?

Honestly, I think every role in CS is a ‘support’. You have 5 teammates, even if you are peeking first or awping, you are supporting. The idea that you can only util is quite flawed. S1mple supports his team with flashes…but he’s not a ‘support’ you all need to be playing off each other.
I think ranks are just fucked up, im comfortably Faceit 5-6 and cant get out of nova ranks.

ZA is region locked to 1 hub cause of obvious ping issues to EU or NA and the starting league in the hub is a shitshow mess of silvers to GE due to a lack of players in the scene. We lack a middle ground we don't have enough players for split leagues for level 5-7 ruffly those types of players there plenty of shitters to fill the level 1-3/4 levels so games will pop, but if we had a separate league for MM so people can 5 stack with friends it would kill a lot of games for the pro league side of it, as well as if a league for level 5-7 was a thing it would get very few to no games and same for the lvl8-10s in their own league, So MM rank in ZA really doesn't mean much if you are below LEM however then it isn't a terrible way of judging someone's skill. also these lobbies Dewy is playing in is mix of level 1s to 4s.
