I'm going here for spring break March 2024, I already purchased a day pass for my son and I because it was recommended on their website due to high volume during spring break. I'm driving from Arkansas and picked this over another Texas area water park due to price. I am really looking forward to this. Thank you for showing all the slides.
I did get the chance to go in its opening month. It was in February and the feeling going from cold temps to warm, humid ones is interesting. I also rode the looping body slide. It was rough on my back and I heard reports of people getting stuck in the slide so maybe that’s why they changed the profile
What I found interesting was how you said Texas was filled with so many indoor water parks because I know they have lots of outdoor waterparks, but the only indoor waterparks in Texas that I know of are this one, Great Wolf Lodge in nearby Grapevine, and Kalahari in Round Rock. But what I really want to know is why they would close the rides down if there was lightning within five minutes? For starters, they could just close the roof so the lightning couldn't get in, it can't be because some of the slides go outside the building as those slides are enclosed meaning that any lightning present wouldn't be able to get any riders, and even if that was somehow the reason for closing, the two drop pod slides and racing slides don't go outside the building so those shouldn't be affected either.🤔
Super helpful review. Was on the fence about visiting, but after seeing this will stick with the Six Flags Over Texas water park: much more to do + free with a Six Flags season pass. Epic Waters looks like it has a more pleasant crowd though.
Thanks for the video. It's interesting that they flattened out the curve on the trapdoor slide I might try it now as my biggest fear was getting trapped in a waterslide and they said you could get stuck for a period of time till they get you out. I was not a fan of that, but thanks for the warning for the burns. I'm not a fan of those either I love the video
You should check out tropic falls at owa, it’s near identical to this park but with great theming and an outdoor wave pool but the slide collections are very similar. Its the proslide version of this park
As an ex employee there lasso loop was re done because some people didn’t have enough momentum to go up the loop therefore got stuck until we open a trap door to let them out
I work in GP and want to visit Epic Waters, but your opening kinda shocked me. There are many indoor water parks in Texas? This is news to me lol I’m not saying it’s not true, I just had no idea! I only know about Epic Waters and Great Wolf Lodge.
I heard about this water park before and its slides. But after watching video half way, I was like "was there a slide that featured a sideways loop at one point". That is until you motioned the odd history it had at 4:59
I think I should buy some water socks (or whatever they are called) to prevent hurting feet on some of these wild waterslides. That is whenever I visit these type of waterparks in the future all the way from great Britain.
Epic waters is the third best indoor waterpark in the state of Texas mainly because of Kalahari round rock, and great Wolf Lodge Webster I just hate the fact that the end doorway pool is outside not inside
Thats the FANCIEST toilet I've ever seen in my life!!
Nice!
I forgot to mention that the loop was closed as well during my visit. Didn’t know they took it out til now (Your review). 😂
It was a recent development.
I rode lasso loop on its last day before it was closed to be changed
Why did they take the big loop out?

Enjoy! Arrive early to beat the crowds.

That would make sense why they changed it then.
I didn't even know this place existed. I'll have to check it out on one of my SFOT visits in the colder months.
Worth a visit.
Love it. Reminds me of a football stadium, but with tubes!
Sort of!

A few hotels have water slides too. The lightning closures surprised me too.
I would think it's because of the metal bracing on the slides, and the metal frames.
I went to this park a few years ago when they still had lasso loop. Its a shame that they didn't fix the lubrication issue when they modified it.
It ruins what should be their best slide.
Please make more waterpark reviews and make one of hurricane harbor Chicago
My visit to that park was limited to just 2 slides, so I don't think it would be appropriate to review it in full.
@@CanobieCoaster what slides

The crowd was mostly families.
I would assume the trapdoor slide was modified since too many people where getting stuck on the loop.
That would make sense.
Really cool how the entire walls and roof are windows, it would be cool in there on a rainy day.
It would look neat.
I’m always a fan of indoor water parks, compared to the others ove been to this place looks bright and clean
It really looks bright.
Thank you for the review, I'm a local and had no idea about this place
You're welcome.

Thanks! I'm not surprised they fixed it if they kept rescuing people.

I need to visit that area someday.

Oh ok. I can see how that would be annoying to evacuate.
Might actually give this place a visit! Great video!
Thanks!
It’s really fun there
@@MrFoxANDnoobie I did end up going last year, place is great!
@@aduckwithavoice glad you liked the place 😄
You should make a review of tropic falls at owa
Still need to visit that park.

I knew of Great Wolf Lodge.
Love me the la,y river rides. My favorites.
A small one, but that's there.
Thanks now we can continue my Vacation planing
You're welcome.
I wonder why they took the big loop out from that yellow trap door water slide?
Per employees, guests were getting stuck.
Sucks to hear they changed the inclined loop. It was really fun when I went on it and unlike anything else I've experienced on a waterslide.
Thankful others exist out there.

Yeah it was modified.
Ok, but are kids aloud to go on the big slides?
The height limits are on their website.
@@CanobieCoaster Ty!
Best ? What about kalahari and wolf
I prefer it to Great Wolf.
Looks fun 🎉
It is.
Going tomorrow 🎉😊 5:30
Enjoy!

Not all parks allow those on speed slides unfortunately. Not sure about this one.
@@CanobieCoaster Never used them before anyway, oh well.
How big is this place.
80,000 sq feet.

That's fair that those ones may be better.
I’m going here soon
Have fun!
I'VE BEEN THERE! LIKE 2 TIMES! :D
Nice!
That turn on Locura looks so forceful that’s a shame it’s quite uncomfortable
It really stinks.
i went there for a choir performance :>
Nice!
I am going ther on my birthdayyyyu🎉🎉
Enjoy!
Very coool

40-60 dollars? That’s super expensive. A waterpark with nearly the same lineup only costed around 10-15 dollars
Indoor water parks are always marked up.
