this video literally answered all my backspin questions. So glad i found it, as I've been having trouble with my backspin technique. Though I am curious on how much leg strength I need for this or if leg strength is really a key here, because each time I've tried this I hardly even spin one full circle.
Fabulous! Stoked that you found this :) You don't need strong legs you just need a strong kick if you practice putting your arms on any motionless object and then practice swinging your leg infront of your body then towards your ear as hard as you can and then applying that to your backspin then you should start to get more rotation. Powermove for a reason ;) you have to commit!
Great tutorial! I've just recently begun training my backspin - i'd love to add one to a poledance routine, actually - and the pointers you give in your video are super helpful. Thanx a lot!
+lenerdx Hey man, you want to find the middle point of your back its just above your lower back, you want to be pretty flat in the beginning, then when you start to get faster you go more into a point.
Yeah bro keep experimenting with bending less and more and leaning from one to the other side, you should be able to find a spot you just gotta experiment enough, I suggest feeling your spine and unbending until it's covered by your skin an isn't protruding from your back.
@@MagnusMagneto Thanks dude, 2 months later still havent found this spot... I'm too damned boney LOL! Thanks for the tips tho, I kinda gave up but now we're in lockdown I'm gonna start trying again!

Thank you for the support!
this is what I needed
This is what I needed to hear
for backspins do i focus more on balancing on my upperback? or is it irrelevant, and I can do it slightly on my lower back too

I can't even lie on my back while curled up, I have no comfortable position, my spine digs into the floor so painfully. Any advice?
