    I love that you don’t practice. It’s nice to see that we all make the same mistakes. I’m binge watching all your videos. Thanks for being a great teacher.

    You did just fine. Your issues made me feel better about making mistakes. I don't have to be perfect. Missed you.

    nice bag Ren, I agree with you about that top zipper theres more chance of it coming open from the other side when its zipped up since it doesnt have any tabs, sound like the way the pattern is written also confusing, normally the front zipper pocket panel is all stitched together first then attached, they have you do it in completely different, I think your used to doing it as one piece and that why it just didnt seem right ,and yes its good to see a bag made from scratch without a test bag before hand, we are all still learning never mind how long we have been making bags for, thanks Ren for being you , LOVE THAT DRESS it suits you, ( i just looked at her finished bag and she has zipper tabs on the top also ) maybe its missed out of the instructions ?

      Thanks Suzy. I just looked at the pattern online and it has tabs on that top zipper as well. My pattern is old. I’ve had it forever. I wonder if the original pattern that I have didn’t have the tabs and this newer one does. 🤔 Either way, I’ll be using tabs next time lol. Assembly could have went smoother but it had me so confused lol. There’s always next time tho!!!

    My hubs watched with me and he said you're a rebel every time you said you weren't following the pattern ;) I have the same conversation with my self about zipper orientation when a pattern does things different than I'm used to!!!

      Haha. I have a bad habit of not doing what the patterns tells me to do. Lol.

    I agree with you about the zipper tabs or at least angle the one side at a 90 degree. It would close nicely then. Cute bag though.

    Ren, Love your channel ! I am sewing along following the pattern and am confused. Hoping you can clarify; at the very end sewing the lining, exterior part. Is the lining seen with the front exterior to stay with the front. The pattern reads all lining to one side. For the life of me I can not see how the front lining ( zipper pocket parts but still cut as lining) goes with the rest of the lining bits. Can you figure this out ? Thanks for being so cheerful and engaging.

      Ok what I’m thinking it’s saying is...in my video at 53 minutes and 35 seconds or so...it wants you to do what I’m doing. Take the exterior pieces right side together and the lining pieces right side together. Sometimes the patterns are hard to understand. Try not looking at those and follow what I do in the video. I will reread your comment to see if I answered it right. Let me know if this helps.

      @@renpuffinberger6664 Thank you ! I watched your version with the modified card slots too and I see what you mean . Yes, it is hard to understand patterns sometimes. Thanks a bunch ! Oh and have a wonderful Thanksgiving (ours was last month).

    Is this the small or larger of the bags. I'm thinking smaller? I want to make the card slots using your method. Thank you!

    Always 💗 seeing your bag and machine name displayed🥰 What Tex thread, and do you think the 1181 will sew denim bags as well..TIA

      The thread I use is T90 Amann. I hem my jeans with it and it sews throughly those thicker seams with no problems at all.

    Pattern comes in 2 sizes, which size did you make in this video?

    • @renpuffinberger6664
      @renpuffinberger6664  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well I’ve had the pattern for a while now and never made it. I didn’t realize it came in two sizes. I must have got mine before there was another size. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m not home to check right now but I’d say it’s maybe 9 inches wide by 7 tall...something like that. I know the top zipper was 9 inches long when I cut it.
