We just cruised for the first time with NCL and on the the Dawn. I agree with everything you just said. We ate at the buffet twice and that was it for us. Our cabin was a suite and that too was nothing to brag about. The toilet area smelled like pee, I personally used the scrubber to clean poop from the bowl that was left from a previous passenger. The fridge was broken, they said they'd fix it but didn't. There wasn't a place to sit inside and watch the world go by, we ended up doing this on our balcony. Arriving onto the ship was horrible as well. As you came aboard the crew yelled at you on where you need to go for the lifeboat drill, not even a welcome aboard. Unreal! Never again with NCL
You nailed it! We just finished the British Isles cruise and were so disappointed with the ship. Even the main dining rooms were uninspired. Both dining rooms served the same menus, so the decision for where to go was another bland experience. The ship ran out of cream, melons, fresh bananas and other things along the way. It prompted our decision to take NCL off our list of cruise lines where we will consider booking; at least for the time being.
I'm booked on _Dawn_ for December. But, it's for the itinerary, not the ship (or even the line, as I dislike the whole "freestyle cruising" attire thing). I"m sure the ship will be tolerable. At least it's not Carnival.
I have over 150 cursing days on NCL. This has been standard on all of their ships since COVID. They have raised prices on everything and have taken their nickel and diming you to death to new highs while lowering there product standards. Their new ships also have lot of issues and are not given very good reviews overall. they have removed most of the items that made them such a great line in the past. We have also moved on to other lines for our next cruises.
Hey Mike, thanks for the video! Was the ship clean? Any issues with illness? Any plumbing issues? We board in august and I’m seeing some reviews that aren’t great.
Not sure why you keep calling the ship " _NCL Dawn_ ". The vessel's name is _Norwegian Dawn_ . Otherwise, I agree the architectural changes were downgrades. That kids' play are in a prime location for an aft-facing bar is just inane.
Totally agree!! The buffet was very bad... we were cruising on the NCL Escape, it was the same, so I believe this is the whole NCL problem.
off the Escape 3 was ago a mess!

Wow. Booked on this next week
Same .already booked on Dawn 😅
I was on the Dawn in September and as a first time Cruiser we had an amazing time. Hated leaving it
@@ruthduignan7928 So, you had nothing to compare it to.

After 21 years with NCL, we're ready to try Celebrity.
Yeah, they removed what made NCL a great line: SS _Norway_ .
Thank you for your video. I was looking to book with this ship at March 2025, but will now look other ship or company.
@@patiseme I’m glad you found the video helpful. Where are you planning to sail in 2025? Safe travels.
Thank you for that report. I was looking at my the Dawn on my next cruise, but will now look elsewhere.
The dawn is brilliant or at least I enjoyed it recently
Thank you
Buffets dessert look horrible.
I decided to cancel Norwegian dawn to northern Europe in June 2025.
@@normanvirutgraw8980 thanks for sharing your feedback. I recommend checking out another NCL cruise ships. Safe travels

Yes I am.
No way! They removed the observation lounge? That’s the highlight of each ship?!
@@DanielFelski yup. Total mistake. Hopefully NCL will restore during the next dry dock.
@@MIKEONTHEMOVE And replace big money-generating suites? No effing way is that gonna happen.
