Awesome video. Love seeing Sharon's collection. I've dealt with her a few times and she seems really nice and down to earth especially for someone with an amazing collection like this. I remember making a trade with her as a kid at a show about 20 years ago and her treating me well (I think I won the trade haha) and now as an adult I'm happy to see that she is still around and doing really well. Great hobby ambassador and we need more people like her.

Question to SCI. I noticed many of my autos on my bigger rookie cards start to fade when I had them out in cases. Is Sharon not concerned with that in the store? I noticed a TON of light coming in and all I could think of is how in the world the light isn’t fading those autos on the bigger cards

7:05 yea but that 15,000 is already inflated because of the speculation they may go up. In fact if they play just okay or even good and not great, the card won’t go up or even go down. Most prospect prices are already factored in, they have to really blow it out of the park (I.e Giannis, Mahomes, Mbappe) to see heavy movement like she said

should try to crossover the Luka black gold to psa 10. how is the centering an 8.5? sometimes the beckett centering grade makes no sense (way too stringent). they can knock a card for centering when the card doesn't even have a border.

That's complete nonsense about BGS being dead. They are the better grading company in my opinion. I like Geoff's content for entertainment value, but that's it. I draw my own conclusions about the grading companies. No way is SGC surpassing BGS, that's even more puppy cock.

Good video, I would recommend getting your sports cards graded by AGS
AGS? I have never heard of them...
@@nick5663 They're a fairly new company but their services are definitely on par if not better than other card graders

Regarding moderns, they're risky. Back in the 80s and 90s, there were tonnes of great rookies, but after 30-40 years, 99% of the cards aren't worth anything. The only ones that held their values are the best of the best. Like Michael Jordan, Wayne Gretzky, Dr J, etc.

A lot of those modern cards are going wayyy down in value in the future I would think. Cool to look at though. My favorite is the 2000 spx winning materials auto Jordan. Those old school auto memorabilia cards are sharp.

@@tubenachosno not jealous at all as I dont collect any of that anyway. just my assessment of the modern stuff and these young players. Some may go up but most probably not . as long as people are collecting and aren't in only for money they should be fine.
Bruh. Like she said, she likes the modern cards because of the THRILL of the gamble that those young players could end up superstars and card value skyrockets. Hot take but collecting vintage is boring and TOO EASY cause theres already set values and prices. People who dont like taking risks like you love that security. People like Sharon is about the thrill of the card chase which is more fun, looking forward every year to potential young stars. Meanwhile vintage extremists are just there existing

Expensive cards just dont impress me much it becomes stressful and too money focused. I think its more enjoyable to collect cheaper cards like its meant to be in this hobby.
I agree I am not into high end cards and for that I collect mainly Basketball, but not the new cards early players like Grant hill, Michael Jordan, and Gary Payton
