Now THIS is art. You capture the hope of the seedling, the confidence after dropping its seed shell, the ecstasy of flowering right to the imminent resignation right after the life review, pride and acceptance of all that it became. I felt it all. Along with that sound track, it should be broadcast into space! :)

I grow them in space it lasts for like 1 or 2 earth years
What strikes me the most is the chaos it undergoes, moving this way and that, just before it blooms and becomes what it is going to be. I love how timelapse video allows us to see that this little flower, in it's own way, experiences the same struggle, growth, confusion, and diffusion of life as us intelligent and chaotic humans. Timelapse just puts their life on a timeline that we can relate to. It's one of my favorite things video can do, and piano is always perfect as a soundtrack to life, imo.
I've been searching for a timelapse sunflower video, and I'm happy I found this one. 🌻😁🌻

This was beautiful but would have been even better if it had shown the sunflower right up until its death. i.e. when it is on the ground in a state of decomposition, even until there is nothing left. Please make another one like this.
Well, where I grew it, it probably wouldn't decompose. It'd just dry out. To decompose, it'd really need to be out in the wet and dirty world, where the different types of decomposers would have access to it.

You could have played Mad World by Gary Jules to this for perfect synergy.
I love sunflowers, but I can also see how quickly it is abandoning its older leaves, how much it strives upwards and gets bigger, often leading to being felled by wind, and then one very top-heavy pretty blossom quickly forgetting the prettiness and being fully occupied with bearing lots and lots of seeds, and then it is only going downwards from there, sadly hanging its heavy head.

+JJ Martinez If I remember correctly this one took about 4 months. It was indoors with static lights, so the movements were all the plant's natural movement.

For a long-term video, the cheapest way that I can think of that would result in a decent image would be to load CHDK on a supported older Canon point & shoot camera.
